    M1078 A1 transfer case

Most you'll get is some anecdotal info, nothing significant enough to base anything on. Was 15w40 for 1900 miles, changed to composite bearing, now transcend for 800, no failure.

    So the MTVR adventure begins

Not one I would recommend, it was a $25 Amazon special I bought since it said it came with 5/16 UNF screws, of course it didn't so I used M8 coarse thread and was able to make it happen. Thorstone 46pcs Harmonic Balancer... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B088CKF6PP?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

    So the MTVR adventure begins

Got the horn working! Interesting mechanism, much like a brushed motor with how it maintains contact through rotation. Just needed a few screws and some corrosion prevention on the contacts.

    CTIS switching to different programs?

I was reading the mtvr manual and it stated the mode button didn't change anything on mk23 variants. I think it had a function on ones with a PTO however? Maybe that changed later?

    So the MTVR adventure begins

It's a bit of a process, I personally use a dpa3+ and an old laptop with a serial port but many USB options exist. Software for tcm reprogramming, you need Allison doc. If you want to reprogram the ecm, you need cat et dealer. People are around that can do these services (I'm not one) or if you...

    So the MTVR adventure begins

Reprogrammed the transmission controller to not aggressively downshift when using the Jake. Also did the same to the MTV. This way I can choose to downshift for more engine braking and it doesn't aggressively max out the revs. It's the "engine brake preselect shift range" setting. Normally at...

    So the MTVR adventure begins

I'm not sure the total plan, however I do want to fit all 4 up front when desired. Thankfully we are all thin so this can happen. I was considering widening the bench seat on each side (there are several inches to gain on both) and keeping the air ride driver seat. Adding a seatbelt is totally...

    MTVR maintenance course pdf

Has some good info I haven't seen other places. A few diagrams with number identification as well. Since it's a course book the resolution isn't amazing though. https://mega.nz/file/zZUGgBAL#qIv3ETsmzeF3ToquoMeUGCv2Uudko-q7Tw7Q-JZfx6Y

    So the MTVR adventure begins

Working on figuring out the horn. The pieces in my hand were just laying on the dash. Figured out how it goes together but I'm pretty sure there is supposed to be a wire connected to the brass part in the wheel. Likely 3 mounting holes and then one for the signal wire. Looks like I'll need to...

    Sun visor replacement

Searched around but haven't found any information on a replacement. Any part numbers or civilian options out there?

    So the MTVR adventure begins

I'd love to make mine very easily removable and self-sufficient when it is, however I'm not sure the tradeoff will be worth it. I'd like to have a very large passthough by taking off the roof and rear panel and have that area connected to the camper. That thing is very cool and I looked into...

    So the MTVR adventure begins

MTV is registered as an RV (because it is) but that also means I don't have to get a CDL. I'll register the mtvr as the same. Unfortunately rules and licenses are excessively complicated...thanks government for the "freedom".

    So the MTVR adventure begins

I have never done an EUC before. I do think I bought 2 weeks before yours, so maybe yours is imminent? FMTV is an RV build over the last year or so and we have been having a great time going on weekly trips in it. That's the reason I got the MTVR it's going to be the RV version 2 but the build...

    So the MTVR adventure begins

Have successfully talked to every computer on the truck to help with any future diagnostics. Some interesting finds are the failure of the solenoid for the front axle locker, this turned out to be a flyback diode(solenoid coil was actually okay) and after taking apart the solenoid valve, seeing...

Seeking help identifying wires by gas pedal

I see where this was mounted on mine and the dangling wires are present too. There is a zip tied wire loom in the engine compartment too. Easy to remove.

He is using ECO hubs. Instead of 2:1 reduction, his is 1:1.

Is this vehicle dependable? I need advise

In WI, they require it based on the highest of gvwr or actual weight. I was wayyyyy over so didn't want to tempt a grumpy cop.
