    Headlights OR parking lights ???

Check out Tactical Repair's video on this topic Front Parking Lights Modification In a nutshell you're pulling the parking light power circuit off the Panel Brt. switch circuit. In my rig that circuit has a pigtail that looks stock, guess someone had this modification in mind.

    12 or 24 volt system

Can you disconnect the starter and attach a multitester to confirm the voltage? If it is indeed 12volts I wonder if a 12VDC to 24DC Boost converter regulator would work. Something like this; 12-24V Premium Quality Starter Solenoid Triple Stage Series-Parallel Magnetic

Worked for me on transmission diffs and gear box of my M813, but I think the 5/8 socket plug worked best.

    diesel in crankcase

If you insure it with Hagerty and join their classic car club the first 100 miles of towing is free. That's how I got my M813 from Western Mass to Central Mass, a little over 100 miles, only cost me about $75. Everything else considered and you could get it for short money, would make a neat...

    Just got my first MV!

Ditto on the M813 here too, 1976 Air Force. If you ever develop a fuel delivery problem, check the pickup tube in the tank first. Some of us have steel tubes that rotted out over time. So far I've replaced the fuel gauge, fuel sender, blinka module, taillight assembly, tailgate pins, exhaust...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Installed an Arctic Radiator Cover sports bra on the old gal. Purchased from Memphis Supply on E-Bay. Appears to be new, although the instructions were photocopied from the manual. Think I installed it correctly. Couldn't drill one part of the brush guard to install supplied attachment...

    Accelerator delay

Had a similar problem in my 5 ton, turned out to be the filter assembly, couldn't hold prime. Replaced my o-rings, cleaned the baring surfaces and replaced the filter solved the problem. Another issue I had was a rotten fuel pickup tube in the tank. Not sure if your rigs have the same issue.

    Chinese Aux Diesel Heater

Yup, an M813 and what little I get now is with the truck stationary. Should be no problem when running.

    Chinese Aux Diesel Heater

Fortunately there's nothing flammable where my exhaust runs under the toolbox. The combustion air intake is in the tool box, while the air to be heated will be pulled from the cab although right now it's in the toolbox as well. Although physically isolated from the exhaust, there are enough...

    Chinese Aux Diesel Heater

Put mine in the tool box under the cab, plumbed the exhaust under the box, getting a little exhaust smell in the cab though. Have drilled the holes to duct air intake from the cab, which should eliminate the problem, just have to run the ducting. The tool box is next to the truck's fuel tank...

    Chinese Aux Diesel Heater

\ 12V, I'd already installed a 12V circuit in the rig. Wired it directly to a 30 Amp inverter. The heater's wiring harness came with an in-line 20 amp fuse.

    Chinese Aux Diesel Heater

Just installed an 8KW Voyocht, 12 Volt in my M813. Once up to temp, heats the cab in minutes. Went with this model for a few reasons. First it's all metal construction, most of these are made of plastic. Second, the kit came with parts I would have had to purchase separately and finally it had...
