    Aftermarket mirror mount assemblies

Ahh... those things. maybe find some early "Gasser" mirrors? Single, rectangle on a bi-pod style mount?

    Aftermarket mirror mount assemblies

Are you referring to the main brackets that mount to the cab. or, the mirror heads themselves? I have a few sets of LMTV mirrors that I will trying to install tomorrow, so I will have some pictures to post in the "what have you done" thread, if that might help you?

    Air line size

You might as well go ahead and replace the compressor to regulator line, and the 2 under the dash while you are there... I had air leaks at the pressure gauge AND the front axle switch. Cost less than $25 to fix them all... Air leaks SUCK. Especially on a system that uses air pressure for ALOT...

Was told to get "back-up" lights, so,,,,,,

You should fine with the power issues, but, if you really want to be sure about it, go to a heavy construction dealer and ask about the switches.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Painted the front bumper yellow, so that when it heads home, even Darryl Freaking Issacs, "The Hammer", (TV ambulance chaser) can't win the case if some jack-n-apes decides to pull out in front of me, and then says, "I didn't SEE the truck!" Dark colored truck, YELLOW bumper, at head level of...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

What size hose are you using? 1" maybe? I keep forgetting to measure the intake on the air compressor.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Yeah, I know about the cable issue. It is a LARGE part of the "why" I want to switch- better adjustability, easier and cheaper to find, as well.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Another *fun* project that I get to do... Anybody know if the "twist the knob to adjust" parking brake handle is a direct swap for the older *whale tail* style? I like the thought of being able to simply adjust the cable without having to crawl under the truck.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Yeah, lunch "on the go" gets, um, entertaining when taking the 923 out.... local Chinese place has asked us to park elsewhere, like over at Golden Corral, or Sonic. *grins*

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Sort of. More like trying to encourage it to KEEP playing nice and showing me what needs attention to make it safe to operate, AND keep (hopefully) letting the things that need attention keep coming loose/ off WITHOUT breakage/ stripping. Besides, a Deuce with he top pull off, the windshield...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I started installing some of the new (er) parts on mine. LMTV mirrors, mismatch painted windshields to replace the starting-to-delaminate current ones, started to install a coolant heater box similar to how the 5 ton has it mounted under the dash, and found a 6 step Aluminum boarding ladder in...

How can I stop melting terminals?

Actually, you have that backwards. The "NEG" post is the smaller of the two. If you try using the generic "parts house" cheapy style clamps, THIS is much more likely to happen, as they are a "fits EITHER side" deal. Yeck. I despise those things. Cheap, brittle, crap lead, just junk.

How can I stop melting terminals?

The terminal clamps should be clearly marked, and, NOT rusty/ crunchy like these- which ARE marked, just kind of hard to see.

    Rear Axle Seal

No, ONLY if you have to remove/ pull the hub off so that you can replace the inner seal. Think of it like a bigger version of a 3/4 or 1 ton pick-up truck.

    M35A3 heater core.

I don't know for sure if it would work for you, but, the heater core from a later 80's Ford Pickup is awfully close to the one in the underhood box on an A2. Found a thread about it on here awhile back.

    Front Mounted Tow Bar

Yeah, sorry about that. I really should have said "mock up" at some point, sooner.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Wastin' NO time getting her up to speed, I see. Mine is going to be a raggedy looking beast for awhile, hence part of "why" she is called the "Dead Line Special". Looking forward to seeing it in person, one day hopefully.

    *soon*...... Beautiful sunset!

    Bum Freezer meet

Very cool stuff. What's the story on the baby tank? I thought that you folks, sadly, weren't allowed to own should things, along with butter knives and other such?

    Front Mounted Tow Bar

That is "why" the thin PVC- more for "testing the angles" before I commit good steel to something that may not work for me. It is STILL a good idea, though.
