    Survival 109 build

So after reading the various opinions and feedback, I think I need to rethink my thoughts. The general consensus is that it is too much weight and or mass on the fenders. So I may go with rustystuds method and install a can on each mudflap, and also could put one on the passenger side step...

Normally 2, up to four. I do have several types of purification as well. Got to have enough safe water. I have over a thousand gallons here at home. Can't take with though.

I am also building up a 105 with an S250 but want extra on the truck as well. I don't have a winch so that weight can go towards the water. ( ?) :)

Yes, 46 gallons under the bunk. But want more.

See previous reply, planning on a cab over for extra bunk space in the future. Plus not wanting to add that much weight up high. Even the approx. 240# of solar panels on the roof was noticeable on the road.

With my luck they would leak into the fuel tanks!

Cab over bunk in the future, so that won't work.

I've thought of that and seen it done, but already adding 4 feet to the rear of the truck, any more and won't be able to make the turn out of my back yard.

Will be max of 195# on the left side, less on the right. My 200# on the fender doesn't seem to be an issue. Did think of bracing them though. Not sure yet on that.

About 300# with racks, I need the weight in front, too much in the rear already.

Ok, I need an opinion or three. Good, bad or otherwise. Mocked up my water cans, 7 total on the front fenders. I'm planning on making some slide out racks to mount the cans. How does it look? Really dorky? Stupid? Passable, workable? Dumb idea? Speak up.

Thanks, but a very dim light. Lots to do before the Oct. Rally! Finish bathroom, finish cab pass through door, make a table, make an under sink kitchen cabinet, trim out the interior woodwork, find a spot for my grey water tank, fresh water plumbing and hot water heater, convert the brakes to...

Update on this weekends progress. Had considerable rain but did knock some things off of the list. Finished roughing in my stereo panel with the XM and HD. Have a composite switcher for selecting input. Got the closet framing up then installed the wall board. Also got one tub wall up, will...

Thanks RS. I don't feel I'm building anything special. Just what I want on the meager budget I have. It's nothing fancy, that is for sure.

Genius not. Make something out of nothing, maybe. :)
