Went down to Ft Carson with the M936A2 to pick up my "new" M998. Had a large recovery kit of fluids, belts and batteries. It was listed as "does not start" and I did not not get a chance to preview it. Intent was to get down there, check all the fluids and give it a good physical inspection...

Got a pretty good storm here south of Denver and decided to check out the CTIS settings on the wrecker in the snow. Found out at the highway setting which is about 90 PSI on this truck the tires acted almost liked the military lugged tires on most older trucks, terrible in just a few inches of...
Check out this link to pictures from the Military Vehicle Collectors of Colorado last meeting/BBQ. An excellent variety of vehicles.

Added LED strobe units to the front and rear of the wrecker. I am very happy with the brightness. they are 12 volt powered. One switch in the cab activates all four.

I didn't think there was a chance in **** a M1102 trailer would be level and look good behind a 5 ton wrecker. Looks pretty dam good. The M818 pintle hook height is the same as the wrecker's, about 30 inches ground to inside bottom of the pintle hook so it would also be level behind a M818...
The MVCC rolled a number of vehicles this and had the distinct honor to transport PVT George Sakato who earned the Medal of Honor in WWII in one of WWII Jeeps. Very sharp 93 year old Vet. Here a few pics. A link to a full slideshow of the parade will be posted on our website. Check out his...

The Military Vehicle Collectors of Colorado displayed a number of vehicles in support of the 3rd BN, 71st Air Defense Artillery unit reunion held in Colorado Springs. This was an Army unit based in Germany during and after the Vietnam War. The Deuce, Gama Goat and M151s were the big hits as...
Use a cloth wheel on the end of a drill and Novus #2 fine scratch remover (I purchased mine at the local Harley dealer) to clean and polish the plastic lenses on composite light assemblies. This method brings a badly faded lenses back to not quite new but close. You may have to go over it a...
The MVCC displayed a group of vehicles at the summer series of car shows at the Outlet Mall in Castle Rock, CO just south of Denver. Pretty good variety for the July show. Pics and a video of the lineup.

Over this weekend the Wings Over the Rockies Air and Space Museum is sponsoring the B-17 "Aluminum Overcast" for display and flights at Centennial Airport just SE of Denver. The Huey Vietnam Pilots traveling museum is also here. I have the M936A2 wrecker on display for the weekend along with...
The Military Vehicles Collectors of Colorado rolled an impressive array of big iron rigs in the 2014 Commerce City Parade just north east of Denver. It is toted as one of the longest parade routes in the country. Almost 2 and a half miles long. Here are some pictures and a Youtube video...
I have had an inop CTIS system since I got the M936A2 a few months ago. Went through the troubleshooting guide in the TM's and found my problem. The wet tank is not building up to more than 70-75 psi. The wet tank never gets up to the CTIS's pressure switch's 85 or so psi so the CTIS...
Here is a series of pictures that shows the comparison of two nice looking wreckers. M816 vs M936A2. Not a whole lot of difference until you look at them from the front.
Over the weekend I loaded the Military Vehicle Collectors of Colorado's OH58 Kiowa for transport down to the Pueblo Air Museum where it will be well taken care of. Here are some pics and a link to a YouTube video.

As always the Military Vehicle Collectors of Colorado will be rolling a good number of vehicles in Denver's 2014 St Patrick's Day Parade. They split us up in to two units this year because of the number of our vehicles. Anyone visiting Denver this weekend stop by and say hello. We stage...
I have a M936A2 and I don't think the thermal valve mounted on the upper radiator hose that actuates the fan clutch is working correctly. Sometimes the water temp gets up to just over 200 degrees with no fan lockup/actuation. Is the thermal valve serviceable?? Is their a good source for...
Here are some pictures of the "new" vehicle. A 1991 M936A2 won at Ft Carson a few weeks ago. Put it to work right away. That's a 1200 lb commercial lawn aerator also won at Carson some time back. Also something real cool. I found out what unit it came from. Found "10th CSH" "HQ 84" hand...
