An AIRTEX Part # E3309 will work perfect for this application. Might need some fittings to add barbs to the pump, but this pump is spec'ed for a P30 with a 6.5L diesel.
An Airtex E3158 will also work and is spec'ed for an '88 P30 Van with a 6.2L engine.

Steel cased absolyte batteries..I think they ripped me off but I was tired of looking at them.
I was probably driving about 15-25 mph tops, like I said previously it was only 500 yards or so down the road.
I am pretty sure any rtv on the seal itself is a no-no. However, that is not to say it might not work. I've done a few and followed the TM to the letter, I also wrote the wiki article you reference.
I was hauling some scrap today with a M101A3, I thought the trailer was squatting a bit...the spring stops were not touching so I figured it was ok. I only had to travel about 500 yards down the road to the recycler.
Once we unloaded, the total weight came to 3,841 lbs!! Yikes. Too bad that...

I think that Ozone scale can be misleading, depth of said cracks is key. 2mm is not a lot. How deep until it actually reaches the cord? That's what I want to know.
I had a similar situation with my M1010. Lost a front driver side tire during heavy traffic south of Atlanta. Aboonski was driving and was lucky to make it out with the truck in one piece and his life. The tires all looked great, but were just old. Needless to say, I replaced all 4 before...

One thing to note, changing the way it is wired will nullify your air compressor which requires 3 phase. In my opinion, your better off using the truck as it was intended and get yourself a backup generator for your home.
