Also don't get to reminisce to much on steam but back in the 90's I was working on museum steam engines. Rebuilding and documenting some of Mystic Seaports recips. Which got me in to diesels...there back on topic. :rolleyes:

I feel your pain, had to replace the lower one. Had it custom fabricated. The old one was deeply pitted where water had accumulated in the crook of that cross member.
Someone must have changed the fluid as the stuff in the cylinder was miscible with water.
The kit comes with a bracket. There's a flat cross brace at that position in the cab, just three bolts, also supplied with the kit. Had to mount it on the outside of the brace as my shoulder belt runs up...
Installed a remote brake reservoir kit purchased from Big Mike's Motorpool.
When I was first MV shopping I checked out a bobbed Deuce in NY that had one of these. That variant used copper tube to the brake cylinder, Mike's uses rubber hose. I'll likely go the copper route eventually but for now...
Mounted a 12 Way 12 Volt blade fuse block under the map box support, tapped a 24 to 12 VDC step down converter regulator, which draws from a 24 volt dual battery bank switch.
I'm running a 24V to 12V 40Amp Step down off a 24V dual battery bank switch to a 12V fuse block. The only thing I have on it are LED reversing lights and a beeper.
Been thinking about the same thing for my M813, which started life with the Air Force in Georgia...so, no heat. Found that the drivers side tool box will fit this

Agreed, easy to disassemble and mechanically straightforward. The problem I had with mine were the poppet exhaust valves. Ran the valve heads through an ultrasonic parts washer. Freed up the ports on one of the wiper engines. Although still having problems with one poppet valve on the other wiper.
