    Fording Project

This is an interesting idea. I like it. An easier way to calculate it would be .4335psig=1 foot of water.

M939 is ownership practical in SoCal?

With Historic plates it is the word primary that allows you to drive a lot more than what DMV will tell you. Primary use is 51% and if you sign up for a few parades or even frequent some parking lot car shows, you have a good case, if anyone questions you. It's the daily driver that will have an...

    75 mph in a Deuce

I'm looking forward to the results on this. I'm thinking your best bet is to tow the deuce up to 100mph.

California Title Registration Diesel Smog Law and GL loadout info for M35 Deuce 5 Ton

NovacaineFix, do you know what the paperwork looked like that was submitted to the DMV? There are options for autos and trucks on a a historic registration form. I would speculate (which I dislike doing) is if some commercial CHP pulled you over, that it could go further than the ticket and...

    Safety fuel shut-off

Anyone looking for that valve that rustystud used, can find one at the nearest Home Depot or plumbing supply house. WOG stands for Water, Oil, Gas. Those are important initials when using a valve for this purpose. Full port is also ideal, as then the size of the valve is not smaller than the...

Deuce Trip from MD to CA

You aren't that far away from me (Sacramento county), maybe you should come check out my deuce and tell me if you would have done it. I think you would make the trip.

    bad turbo

You would be surprised what is out there and what is made. Also, you can easily make a slight change to the impeller and intake house, to get something that is more produced and not have to adjust the anything else (engine wise). These turbos are not very big, and do not run a high pressure, so...

    Registering a HMMWV in CA?

This thread was almost five years old. Just an FYI for folks that didn't look at the year and plan on commenting.

Deuce Trip from MD to CA

Just an update, the truck is being shipped. Unfortunately, no good time cruising America, in a deuce, will happen this year (for me).

    bad turbo

Every part on a turbo is replaceable. Depending on how the intake housing looks (assuming that is the side the blades hit), you can usually reuse the housing. I'm not very familiar with the deuces turbos, but a turbo is a turbo, they just come in different sizes.

Deuce Trip from MD to CA

It's looking like I cannot make the trip to drive my deuce back home. To many scheduling conflicts with my partners and the weather is getting worse. My partners promised a good road trip in the truck next year. I appreciate all of the input from everyone, it's been quite helpful in...

    Greetings from Northern California

So odd to have someone on a forum with such a similar name as mine. Even creepier that we live in the same town.

Deuce Trip from MD to CA

cobra5, finding a nice truck that is close, is hard to do for a good price. I'm one that enjoys an adventure too.

Deuce Trip from MD to CA

The truck is in quite nice shape. It is a M35A2C, so it has the split braking system. The truck has been gone through and redone within the last five years. The seller is a member on here and so far seems very trust worthy. A bit of background on myself and my two buddies, I am a former rotary...

Deuce Trip from MD to CA

All, I have been lurking on the forum for a few years now and I finally bought a 1987 M35A2. I'm still working on the exact details on picking up the truck in Maryland, but the plan is to fly out early November, with two friends and drive it back to California, over four of five days. The...
