This would be where my confusion stems from.......The axle breather lets air back in as well!? I was under the understanding that the axle breather was one way only......
I know its not the same, I said similar to what's in the axle. One way pressure relief. And I did see the pic earlier in the thread, but it doesn't show the inner workings.
Interesting. So it's something similar to the "breather" found on the axles? The little spring loaded cap that farts air out.....
I can't imagine it would last long due to grease catching everything and just hanging onto it. Wouldn't take long to clog up IMHO.
(Sorry to resurrect old thread)
I did a search, and came up with this thread. So I thought I would improve the information with what else I've found during my search.
This link has a lot of stuff in it:

But this one was more towards the...
I have found conflicting information on my truck.
The bumper is marked 34 ID which is based out of Rosemount, MN. But when I put some of the numbers into Google, I found a GL auction from 2010 that says it was auctioned in Iowa.
My understanding is that it's a 1970 Am General wo/w
Here is...
Ok, I really hate owning a deuce.
Every thread I read, every picture I see of someone's project, I get my own ideas for things that I "need" to do. Now trying to figure out what to do first, and how to prioritize......that's the part I hate.
There are tons of things that I feel I need to...
Not the best picture, but I mounted my cup holders in the same spot on both sides. Didn't want to drill into the dash, and had to make sure to clear the window cranks.
I am looking to get rid of my vents.
First question, can the vents on the T-case and tranny be gotten to easier by removing the hump in the cab?
I plan to run tubing from all components up into the airbox.
2nd question, pertaining to that: Do I run a different tube all the way to the airbox...
I just recently was looking for ideas for a cup holder. I'm glad I came across this thread. Picked up a couple from Vintage and hope to install them in the very near future.
I would love to mount to each door, but no real sure on how big of a screw I can use. Haven't drilled into the door...
Ok, quick little update of the small things done to the deuce thus far. To this point, we were just getting to know each other. Checking all the fluids....A lot! Driving it around town like a moped. And just making sure everything was as sound as it appeared from the outside.
The first pic...
A big roger to all of that.
All in all, it was my own fault. Part of my sales pitch to my wife to get the truck was the point that these things could go anywhere. Having opened my big mouth, I was then roped in to taking my 7yo to the mud bogs. Without having any real trails to ride around...
Valence, the pic you're looking at is the driver side, up towards the radiator support. I believe it is the wires for the driver side lighting that goes through there. And as you pointed out, the harness under the air cleaner as well got the same protection as my driver side one. All were in...
So I took my deuce to her first mud bogs. Actually, her first off road....anything.
Also, my first off road.
I used to drive an ATV around, and quite effectively, but this is a totally different animal.

Annnnnnnnnnnnnd since the driver side fender was off, I figured it would make life a little easier doing the zipper boot on that side as well. It was bad, the inner clamp let go some time ago.
While I was doing that, my wingman (7yo) started working on painting the freshly sand blasted water can.
