What did you do to your deuce this week?

Hey... you're getting there! [thumbzup] I've done some measuring, in and around the cab of the deuce, in preparation for some major wiring. I've got too many things that require 24v to 12v conversion. Now all I need is a string of nice, dry weather days! :D

Been on here a few years thought I'd finally introduce myself

Welcome from Arizona! [thumbzup] Glad you've emerged from the 'shadows'! The truck looks good in red, but she'd be awesome in MV green! :jumpin:

    Cab Heater Modification

Greg... I kinda like that location for an additional fuel filter. I'm now thinking of adding one there just to improve the 'quality of the fuel', as I'd not be doing the 'heater mod' (at this time anyway ). Your thoughts? Can there be too many fuel filters on a deuce? :shrugs:

About to buy first deuce - haul 12,000 lbs

:ditto: I love my deuce, but for what you are planning to do with one... I've got to agree with Wreckerman893. BTW... welcome and good luck! [thumbzup]

    Hello from Texas

The paint on the bed looks good! [thumbzup] Lots of folks here have used the Behr paint on their MVs. I did my M35A2 in the 383 green and I love how it looks.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

That's one of my projects as well. How'd it go? Any issues, tips and/or cautions? That switch plate looks pretty nice mounted there! [thumbzup]

    Fording Project

I had to laugh at that! If I had a shop to work in I'd probably do the same! I actually fell asleep on the bench seat while thinking about how I could upgrade the interior lighting. Guess I was thinking too hard and tired myself out! Love your projects and the quality of your work...

Working On The M561 Gama Goat

M882 stuck on New York docks.

 Yup... such a mistake is easily understandable. They do look a lot alike! Most people would probably say they're identical! :cookoo: Bottom line is... it looks like this crazy situation will have a happy ending after all! [thumbzup]

What did you do to your deuce this week?

That 'bug' can strike at any age and at any moment. But... when it does... look out! Pretty soon you'll have a huge chunk of green to deal with! Enjoy the search! Welcome from Arizona! [thumbzup]

    Strange 24v question

When I first got my M35A2, my gauges sometimes 'jumped' like you describe, but once I began 'cleaning-up' the electrical system... they've been stable. Are you able to check the alternator output with a meter? You know that I'm no expert with 'things electrical', but I do think the what The...

Why do the Hydraulic Head clips fall off.

Is there an ATF that is not colored RED? The LEO's love the GREEN they bring into the coffers when they see RED in the fuel tank around some parts! 8)

The big trip and a new MV.

Here's the safety link I mentioned in a previous post: http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?134291-Roadside-safety-Stay-Alive! Also... I made this simple 'caution plank' that can be easily attached to the rear of a deuce! It is AMAZING how differently people drive in situations both...
