Dont know if he takes plastic but its probably best to come with the greeen stuff. Weather report says 50% chance of rain Saturday but its not gonna stop me, beats the 105 degree heat the last time I was there. Everything still good to go Mike?
Lost track of this thread with all the holidays and work, some funny posts. Thanks for the offer FLoyd. I called GL yesterday and the guy in charge wont let me come out to look at it until I have my EUC and paid in full invoice  I was'nt going to argue with him in case I need a little load...
RE: Tax
Well I guess I was wrong  I always thought the 7.75% sales tax I was paying was GL charging Arizona sales tax but according to the GL FAQ it is the state in which the item was purchased. Here in Los Angeles county the tax rate is 8.25% so that is what was throwing me off. Sorry...
RE: Re: RE: Finally got the truck...with a lot of headaches.
That missed radiator damage was my bad. I was too busy looking for bent front driveshafts and punctured fuel tanks that the careless fork lifts drivers usually do. I feel horrible. I was rushed because the GL guy was watching me like...
I was bidding on a 5 ton but of course it surpassed what I was allowed to spend. From the pics on this one, it looks great, no springer seat though. 10k on the odometer and what looks like a nice new winch cable. Thanks for that info Medlog. Look at the the PTO shifter in the pic, its about 3...
Well, I sold my duece earlier this summer because I really had no reason to have one (I regretted it). I bought a Unimog thinking it would help me cope with being dueceless, it did'nt. Sold it and bought a M1009 which I love and am keeping. All the while, I keep reading all these great stories...
You get charged after your EUC clears if applicable. They have a 10% buyers premium of the winning bid (examble winning bid $2000 = $200 buyers premium) and sales tax is Arizona's state tax rate which is around 7-8%. All this info can be found in the FAQ section on GL's site. Dont know about not...
I havent found any adapters in my research. It seems the easiest thing to do is just swap in a regular truck axle. A GM 14 bolt rear end should just about bolt in based on my preliminary measurements. Do a search for "M105 axle" and it should bring up this same subject.
Nice looking truck! What kind of fuel mileage do you get with that set up? A chopped up M105 trailer bed would match pretty good to the square shaped body. Your best bet would be to scrounge the wrecking yards for a front axle off a similar truck that a utility company would have owned. Other...
