Ahh the list continues to grow! Being that the M52 has a Multifuel, will it really tow the trailer that much better than a duece, aside from the better braking? What is the HP rating on the M52? Seeing the prices these trucks are bringing in now days, I would say that is a good deal for a...
Kinda makes you wonder if someone was watching out for you, throwing all kinds of obstacles in your way to keep you from a drive that could have been your last? Maybe thats a deep thought but if my father would have been delayed 3 seconds on his way home from work, he would still be here with...
Was that the one on Ebay that went for around $40? I was watching it and thought about bidding on it but need other things. It should bolt right up to the exhaust manifold, you'll just have to get a 5 ton flame heater housing/intake elbow that attaches the turbo to the intake manifold. Ive...
On the flat tire I had repaired a couple of weeks ago I stood right there and got a lesson from the tire guy. If I would have tried it without the lesson I would have never got them off. It was'nt anything like how I though they were. Pretty simple concept actually, just requires some labor and...
RE: Re: RE: Fuel Pressures | Lack of Power Issue
I had the same problem on one of my dueces, turned out to be a crushed copper fuel line under the radiator where the GL guy picked it up with a forklift. Check all your copper fuel lines for kinks in case you havent already done so.
My truck was a hard starter when I first got it, I tightened up the fittings on the fuel return lines between the injectors and it fixed the problem. My truck starts in less than a second of hitting the start button. The loose fittings allowed air to get sucked into the return lines when the...
The one thing I have noticed is it seems that most of the multifuels with holes in the block at the #3 cylinder seem to be White's. It could be a coincidence. One truck I bought had a white motor with a spun rod bearing on the #3 cylinder. Anybody else noticed this pattern?
RE: Pics of S250 shelters with complete radio installations?
I've been doing a little research as well and a shelter that I found that would have more space in the same size package is an S-749 shelter. I dont know who sells these but I think they are better suited for use in a duece. The...
An M109 is too big to park here at my house and I dont want to pay $75 a month for another storage spot. I have some drawings of what I guess could be called a mini camper that rolls into the bed. I was thinking about mounting some wheels on it and using a winch with some ramps to load/unload...
I think a peterbuilt sleeper would flow very nicely with the body style of the duece but I am now leaning toward a shelter with aftermarket air ride seats to soak up the bumps. If it were safe and legal, I would just let everybody ride in the trailer but thats only allowable in 5th wheels(I...
Hey Jones, I'm headed to Barstow truck + Equipment sometime in the next week to look at what shelters they have, I can pick it up for you and we can find some way of getting up there, maybe next time Gary heads up to his shop. Just an idea, let me know.

Just do a visual inspection for rotted rubber, missing rubber or where the bushing is being pushed out or if you see the rubber seperating from the metal, its pretty obvious when its time to change them. Mine are in need of replacement soon and I already have a box of replacements from Sam Winer...
Trying to use the search function but cant find the answer. Anybody know if the fiberglass reproduction hard top from an M37 is the same as an M35? I found a guy with an M37 hard top and am interested in buying it if it will fit on my M35. Thanks
Hey Bjorn, I know you got your hands full but heres a trailer on Ebay for your new 8x8, you can make an east coast road trip in your new truck! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Military-Flatbed-Trailer_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ80765QQihZ017QQitemZ270038310273QQrdZ1
The shelter idea is sounding better the more I think of it. I could make the back of the canvas cab zip up and have part of the shelter cut out matching up with the back of the open cab and have a canvas "boot" made up to connect the cab and shelter. Who has the 280 shelters and how much is a...
