Why would the Transfer Case pop into neutral while driving?????

Give a heavy truck shop a call. They could change it out for you, and make short work of it. They will have the jack/lifts, that will be needed. If you go that way, you might eyeball the U-joints, but otherwise, get where your going first, then worry about the other stuff.

5th gear noise. I am guessing this is not suppose to move.

Those gears didn't fail without a very significant reason. It looks like the straight cut gear failed because it wasn't fully meshed when the load was applied. I don't have a guess on the other. Also, parts don't necesswarly just settle to the bottom. There is significant agitation in there...

    Deuce inner tube removal question

The flap stuck to the tube, is most of your problem. Sounds like your trying to push the stem back, tube and flap too. The flap is pretty stiff there.

    Deuce inner tube removal question

The tube and flap are seperate. They often get stuck together (even the tube can get glued/stuck into the tire carcus, to where you loose your fingernails, trying to pull it out).. When you get the tire off the wheel, you can get an edge for the flap, and tear them apart. Be careful of the...

Is my M35A3 tranny running hot???

As a rule of thumb...... If I grit my teeth, I can hold my hand on about 150*F. Its not at all comfortable, but can do it. If your hands are caloused up a bit, it helps.

compressor keeps going on off on off and keeps going click click click in the cab ?

Read the book. You have to be able to descriminate - whats going on. There is a govoner. It controls the pressure. There is an "unloader valve" in the head of the compressor that controls the output of the compressor. If that fails, it may allow the compressor to over-charge, or not charge...

    Engine problems..need help please!

Probably, you have all the bases covered, you just missed a clue somewhere. Since you did the head gaskets, I imagine that you checked the push rods for straight. Check the lash again. That is easy. Sometimes its good to do it while its running. Especially on number three.

    Question about front springs

I bet there is a difference in the thickness of the leaves, in the 10 leaf spring pack, to bring it to compare with the 12 leaf pack. Still the question is, what company used them? Every time I have done spring work, I have found that its best to change them out in matched sets. Springs get...

    Speedo Cable-non standard engine/transmission

You need to know the tire OD, gear ratio, and the kind of Speedo, you will use. Heavy truck shop can do this, and build a complete unite, including the outside cable. Included will be a small gear unite, the cable runs through. They will adjust the gearing to compensate for the variables...

In Tank Pump not lifting fuel out of tank

I had smiliar problems. I found the magnetic drive between the motor, and pump body was faulty. Just because they look good, sound good, doesn't mean they are dependable. I replace the pump. and it was a new world. A new $50 pump, is cheap, compared to the heartburn roadside repairs cause.

Deuce Front Fenders, Boots and Turbo

While your at this.... On your 1st post, picture #2, those wires should have something shielding them from constant jiggles on the frame. Otherwise after a while of rubbing, the smoke might leak out of them. There can be a lot of smoike too, in 24V wires.

    Lubrication Order

Welcome to the site. I'm not familiar with your model truck, but isn't there some kind of plack on the dash, that gives some basic info? Other then that, I too, am not real good with the search function, other then start a search, then start reading, till you find what your looking for. Also...

    Battery Switch (Keyed)

Anybody, that knows a Deuce (or equipment in general), just a little, will have the truck running in minutes with a nail or screwdriver. My thinking was to install a battery switch, but hide it. Mine is located near the starter (it only took about a foot of extra cable), and it interups...

Go hard or go home also applies to breaking stuff... Grenaded my front wheel bearings

Sometimes when a race turns on a spindle or shaft, it wears a little groove on each side of it. That keeps it from sliding off. Can you detect any movement of the race? Is it stuck to the spindle. Use a big punch on it to try to break it free, or a piece of pipe. You might be able to split...

Broke Down in Billings Montana - Need to find a shop that can replace wheel cylinders

There aren't any mountains in Montana that your Deuce can't handle, with the trailer on. The only problems that you might have now, is your attitudes. Just fix that pan gasket, if you want to, and go for it. So what, if you go up hills at 20 MPH. You'll never get into trouble on hills, if...
