Bjorn,
Yes, alluminum needs a special primer. Zinc chromate. Make sure all oxidation is off by using a DA or jitterbug sander or strong-armed with sandpaper. 220 grit is coarse enough.
Then "wash" the metal to clean all contaminents off ie: oil from your hands or air tools with a metal prep...
Great photos Kevin,
You've advanced your collection nicely since you bought your first M35 out here at Port Where-Am-I.
I am now extrememly jealous. Keep up the great collecting and photo's.
Jon,
I don't think the paint would matter much. If you feel like coming out then we welcome you.
I just have to get my axle seal fixed to commit and hope to do it tomorrow with the great "how to" by SS members here.
Steel Soldiers member Tony (he's the REO guy) just left my shop and is getting some banners and large badges for his truck made. He is asking for participants in a parade that he has helped organize the last 6 years. Parade will be in Camarillo California on Saturday December 9th. He has a good...
Oh man. Will, you took the thoughts right outa my head!
Since we don't have major snow fall here we can make short ones and I am dying to do it.
I have been dying to get a loop trip going up 395 into Mammoth then north to Lee Vining and over Tioga Pass through Yosemite down to 99 then back...
AKJEEP,

Imagine going 56 mph at 2350 rpm?
Kick the rpm up to 6500 and pray you don't blow a front tire going 85+
Oh, and if you wanna stop? (Insert hair on fire icon here)
Your results may vary.
AKJEEP, I...
Speaking of tow bars,
If these are the right ones for a Deuce and someone is near Ft Riley, Kansas what is the chances we could do a co-op for them?

A short description and/or picture would be appreciated.
As with Cranetruck's road trip I now follow yours and let my imagination be the video. Thanks for keeping a log of your travels and sharing it with us. Safe driving to...
I have mine siliconed to a sheet of magnetic sign material that I painted OD Green. It rests on top of the cab and won't blow off in the wind. Pics if desired.
That is a great idea Devin. There are a lot of truck dismantlers located in the Fontana and Rialto areas. Also a lot of them located in the Fresno area. I have seen the sleeper cabs sitting in the truck yards in Fresno along with hoods, cabs, axles, you name it.
There are also some in Sacramento...
Here is a great item that Kenny put together for one man brake bleeding.

Ok, I have a few minutes here and want to give Leonard a nod.
I fiinally made it up to Northern California during a moving session with some of my new brides things(to store in my shop in Yuba City) and had a chance to meet up with Leonard. Of course the visit was truncated too short and I had...
So I am not the only one up at 3am.
Good to see you back on the road heading home again, Bjorn.
I want the rights to the movie.
I forgot to ask you in your travels, if you happen to find or locate a master cylinder cap, lid, cover - whatever the correct name is, could you...
