The car trailer is the answer!

Pieces of metal from my first oil change in my Deuce :( need help to idendify ??

Those are the bigger pieces. There is bound to be metal residue in the pan that is still there. Better to do some more investigation. You will want to make it home, all in the same day.

Bottle Jack for M923A2, M925A2, ect.

Don't get one less the 12 tons. It doesn't have to work as hard. 8 ton is minimal, if it was loaded heavy.

    M101A2 Towing Speed

Generally, tire pressure is a compromise. Pressure should be adjusted to for the load - or- lack of one. Radial tire sidewalls are designed to bulge and flex. The 35 PSI Uncle Sam says is good for the 235-85,16R, is usually in the ball park, and adds to a smoother ride, but should be adjusted...

    Fuel Lines

All of you are correct! There is nothing wrong with any of the fittings. Its a matter of personal preference. The DOT plastic stuff is great - it resists vibration, but be careful around heat. It melts real easy. I like to stick with whats on the piece of equipment, that I am working on...

    Return fuel line Fittings

The fitting/nut, in the 1st post is not re-useable. Use standard "DOT Air Brake Fittings". You have to use the insert, to back up the compression of the ferrel. The nut will be re-useable. So is the insert, but not the ferrel (keep a handful of extras). You can though, disconnect the...

    Need to find cheap Deuce

$2000 is pretty cheap, especially a runner. Maybe they are around for that, but beware of deferred maintenance.

    M101A2 Towing Speed

There are a lot of things in TM's, that nobody pays any mind to, or believes in, for that matter. I'm sure that you can find some that have seen far faster speeds then those posted.

    M37 hardtop

My first hard top was an early one, and used wood trim around the door windows which didn't fit too well. The former owner also had put a larger plexiglass rear window in it. I always thought that the nice rear sliding window out of a M211/135 would fit. Seems the M35 rear window would also...

    Oil Pan Leak

I have had my M37 since the very early 1970's & of course worked on the engine, numerous times, since I logged many hard miles as a daily driver. I last built it, several years ago, and seem to have been lucky with the leaks, but am still holding my breath. The subleties involved in sealing...

New Shoes and Hub too Tight

There should be virtually no reason to move the shoe anchor pin. That said, refer to the TM to re-adjust. Then everything in there should be clean and move freely. Like the shoes on the anchor pin, and the adjusters (these should have some drag). They should be (for re-assembly), adjusted all...

Give a "tooo000OOOT!" for theft deterrence.

I put a battery disconnect switch, in between the battery cable end, & the starter (hidden of course). I still allows the accessory switch to be turned on, & to sound OK, with the low air warning buzzer to work, but the starter button is non-functional. It just won't be too easy for the crook.

Turbos are often considered to be altitude compensators.

    M101A2 Brake Bleeder

They are the same as other stuff.

    Brake cylinders

Erick's Surplus has all that stuff, and caters to us with the MV's. That's lots better then dealing with chain stores.

    They stole my air dryer!

You'll want the original to the truck, air dryer, so the plumbing is the same.
