I can stop by the hooch on Sat in uniform with my field gear (web gear), M16, helmet. I could even be talked into watching the hooch for a while if you want to walk around a bit.

    Satan's Little Helper Info Wanted

I'm looking for as much info and photos as possible for the M37 gun truck Satan's Little Helper. I've only found 2 photos so far, in Hard Ride II and Through a Google search. The only info I have is that it was in the 88th Trans Co. My ultimate goal is to do this truck, but I would like to...

    MadDawg's M37 gun truck project

I was thinking about the cost as I hit the post button. I'm accustom to working with aluminum but as I don't have to pay for it, I guess I'm in the dark. As for the weight going up fast, yep, and so does the difficulty in handling it. I'm sure that back in the day they had forklifts, cranes or...

    MadDawg's M37 gun truck project

You probably already know there are some new M60 airsoft guns available that look almost perfect. They ain't cheap, but what is? Just wondering if aluminum is an option for guntruck replicas. It would seem to be lighter and easier to work with (as far as cutting and drilling, I guess welding...

    Gun Trucks to Carlisle

I wasn't all that happy with the above shot in post 155, so I re-did a few things including filling that big blank area of the sky. This one is a little better balanced to my eye:

Truck Show Barrington, NH Aug 22,2010

I had just heard of this show a few weeks ago at a local car show. With the closing of the local Golden Age of Trucking Museum, they likely won't be having their annual fall show. This may help my old truck fix for this year.

Thanks Carl, looks like a good one to put on my calender. Older is better as far as I'm concerned.

    Gun Trucks to Carlisle

I took a few of my shots from Friday and applied some weathering to make them look like they were shot 40 years ago. Let me know what you think (good or bad, I can take it!)

    MadDawg's M37 gun truck project

My opinion, FWIW. A replica truck would demand good, thorough research of the truck you are reproducing. This could be a long process depending on how much info is available. I feel if you are doing a replica, you are bound to do it as close as possible to the original. A tribute truck grants...
