    Hood Damage!

It looks like someone was climbing on my M35A2 hood over at the Super Safe Self Storage and mashed in the hood. It's one large area right in the middle that's sunk in. Not being much of a body guy, is there a good way to try popping this back out? I thought about ramming it with a 4x4 chunk of...

    U-Joints

I'm guessing the vibration I'm having (it goes from noticeable to teeth-chattering) is one or more U-Joints. Never having worked on ANY 4 or 6 wheel drive vehicles, I could use some advice for diagnosis and replacement. TIA,

What the heck is it? (evaporator covers)

Just won an auction from GL for a bunch of stuff that unfortunately included 155 Air Covers for Evaporators; unopened, unused in original boxes. So... what are they for? Just curious because unless someone wants a few of them (or all) they're going to the scrap yard. I can't think of anything I...

    PTO seal kit?

Is there a PTO shaft seal kit out there? The front one started leaking gear oil just before the Veteran's Day parade. I checked the housing bolts - they were good and tight. Definitely leaking by the shaft.

    Noise problem

So I'm driving down the road and I get this thrRUUUMMMmmmmm.......thrRUUUMMMmmmmmm... vibration problem. I knock it out of gear and coast down the next hill. It doesn't go away. I shift back into 5th and it's gone until I have to get back on the accelerator. I stop at the house and see 80W90...

    Huntsville City Limits weight restrictions

I didn't know this until today, but apparently I can't own a Deuce and park it at my house in the city of Huntsville. Apparently there's a weight restriction ordinance that limits trucks to 3/4 ton. Also found out I can't sell but one vehicle at a time when I said maybe I could sell them all...

    Deuce Traffic

Saw a wonderful sight on the way to the Dr office today. A Deuce in really nice condition traveling in the opposite direction loaded to the top with boxes. I can see a time coming soon when Deuce and a half traffic will be a regular sight around Huntsville. I gave him/ her a big wave as they...

    Pop-up campers

Does anyone know where old pop-up (or other type) campers go to die? I'd like to find a used one. The only criteria is that the air conditioning/ heating unit still works and has other salvageable items like water and electric hook-up feedthroughs, maybe a small fridge, sink, potty chair? I want...

    Picked up two more

Yes, the OD Syndrome has it's hooks in me. Snagged an M35A2 with winch and soft top AND an M36A2C Dropside. Man that's a long bed on that baby. Good thing I picked up TWO 35 gal fuel tanks at the last auction! Now all I have to do is heal up from hernia surgery and get going on my camper...

    Mandatory Deuce tools

So what tools do y'all consider "can't do without" when working on the Deuce? I have a 3K engine hoist, engine stand, a solid Rock Maple work bench, drill press, band saw, parts washer, and a good many hand tools. I feel I need to get a set of 3/4-inch drive ratchet/ sockets, an impact wrench...

    Adding a fuel tank

I have a 35 gallon tank I'm planning on adding to the M109A2. I have a couple of choices for electric fuel pumps- 24VDC, negative ground, either 30 or 32 GPM, anti-siphoning valve optional. Opinions welcome! :-D Also opinions needed about where to locate the new tank. I was thinking about...

    Call me crazy but

One of the reasons I bought a Deuce was "just in case". Just in case the Mayan Calendar is accurate (doubts exist as to how the MC correlates to the Gregorian), just in case standard fuel becomes hard to find, just in case the fault that runs through North Alabama becomes active, just in case...

    Difference between M928A2 and a M35A3?

Just browsing around and found what I thought was an M35A3, but is actually called an M928A2. The M928A2 looks longer and is 5 ton. Is that all there is to it :?:

    Farewell to the Deuce

Some guy bought my last trailer last Saturday. Went over and looked at the Deuce. Asked me what I'd take for it. I quoted $1000 more than I paid for it. He wrote me a check right on the spot. What do I do about legalities of selling the deuce? Is there someone I should contact with the buyer's...

    Exploring the Deuce

So boys and girls, what are these things? Picture 1- some kind of post clamp for? Picture 2- Loose bolts sticking through the back of the cab. Also, anyone ever sew the soft top front "slides" back on? That's the hard plastic pieces that keep the leading edge of the soft top clamped to the...

Everyone wants to drive the Deuce

Our cat Chance getting his "chance to explore. I think he would need a booster seat to drive it though... This is also why you should ALWAYS "check six" (and all other o'clocks) before driving your Deuce. :!:

    Before Starting

Let's be honest now- how many of you follow the TM "before startup" checklist? I have to say I'm guilty of an incomplete walkaround every startup so far. I officially started using the checklist last night and will put a laminated copy in the glovebox for all future first starts. I'd like...

    Free M105A2 for help

OFFER HAS BEEN TAKEN. Thanks Omega123! Anyone near Huntsville, AL willing to help me lug six M105A2 trailers to my house? If so, I'll give you one of the trailers for your trouble. I didn't buy any junk so I believe you'll be happy. :-D If the trailer's not wanted, I'll be glad to offer...

    M35A2 Brake Master Cylinder

So I go to check the DOT 5 fluid level in the Cheetahmobile Deuce and all I see under the cover in the cab floorboard is this style of Master Cylinder. The manual I have shows one that has two caps and the line with fitting. Am I being to cautious? Should I just twist this off and all will be...
