    New Guy From Stow, Ohio

Its good to see another Ohio resident in this, not that there is a shortage of us. They're from across the state, Perrysburg to Ashtabula, and Cleveland to Cincinnati, I happen to be from the Sandusky area. I think I've seen the truck you're looking at on one of the many 'expeditions' my...

    M816 on ice?

NOT without tire chains..... That would be a wild ride if it gets loose. I know what my M-62 does on ice without them, and THAT is why it stays home on days like that. Too big to allow to get loose.

    Possible purchase

Good luck with your quest, looks like there are plenty of potential candidates if you have the time. Parts shouldn't be an issue from the looks of it. The manuals you can access online here will help alot, and there are always guys here willing to help, wreckerman, gimpyrob, and the various...

    M123E2 recovery trip

One of our "Group" members just brought an M-920 home Friday, its still sitting on the lowboy they hauled it on. Makes the Ford L9000 that hauled it look small, THIS would be even better. Not that I'm playing that game, "mine's bigger than Yours".... But he always wanted a truck bigger than...

    M123E2 recovery trip

Just wahat are you asking for it by the way, if nobody takes it, thats aways away, BUT, man I'd love a 123........ Have to get rid of some of my other stuff to give it a good home.:jumpin:

American armor on the streets of Egypt

PPAPA BEAR has the right idea, you want it, we have it, a barrel of grain for a barrel of oil, but arming and defending people who really don't want to be free (except in THEIR definition of it) which is I'll tell you, you do it MY way. That isn't cool. Its trouble in the making. Its been...

    New from Ohio

Welcome to the site from Sandusky, I was going to say "the disease", but its obvious you have it far worse than some, myself included... Have to bring your DUKW to Sandusky and play with us in the bay, we get quite a bit of time in with the LCM-8 landing crafts (3) each, and our LARC-V is...

My 1st trip to Memphis Equipment

I was in Memphis for training back in the spring, and thought about visiting but thought well, its just a store front from the view in the ads, what did I miss. Maybe its time to go back for another training program for a week.

    New Guy from Ohio

Welcome from Sandusky.... Also try www.GSAauctions.gov There are some nice ones come up on that site and some even in and around Cleveland. But most will be south somewhere like Chillicothe.

M 123's going to the scrap yard

All I can say is ****ed shame. Its too far for me to do anything to save any of them. Really need one somewhere EAST of the Missippi that needs a home. (preferrably in the Northeast) But as I've said before and Wreckerman stated again here, the fewer there are, the more they cost.....

    Honey, look at this...

You really are a welcome addition, My "better-half" shares this hobby but not the site as of yet. She does share some of the other half units on here's attitudes about my hobby. Controlling my "radical impulses" and insuring I don't get into REAL trouble. (on the other hand, her hobby is taking...

Does this look safe to you ?

If its a competition vehicle or going to be used in the extreme, it could cause an issue, but the design of the axle should hold it well. I've a WWII 5 tonner that has the u-bolts on it the same way. But it didn't catch much "air" i'm willing to bet.2cents

    THIS makes me..SO..sad

One serious looking machine, and for a complete roll over it isn't all that bad really. But I'll bet the owner never drives anything like THAT again... Usually we only get one warning. Unless he's part cat, he got his. That 'beastie' rolling over me, I'd take up walking....;)

    problems with interstate batteries

I've been replacing mine with all NAPA batteries and have NO issues with them. Had a NAPA go bad in the M-890 Dodge, and they handled it with no crap at all. Like they told me everybody has a bad day. Interstate seems to have a bad year or two though, so its NAPA/EXIDE for my stuff for the...

Mid Ohio January Generator Rally!! (or 400 Hz to 60 Hz conversion)

Thanks for the tip on possible parts locations, I'll spend some time there tomorrow night once I get away from here and can look at it Intelligently..... At my age, I need little help looking stupid, do that enough by myself. Pat:beer:

Mid Ohio January Generator Rally!! (or 400 Hz to 60 Hz conversion)

Hey, got a mostly stupid question, especially as I'm trapped at the old Erie Ordnance Depot in Port Clinton, Ohio at a Sea Cadet drill as Command Duty Officer, and the info on the generator in question is at home on the desk, BUT our group has an MEP something 60 Kw genset and we need an...

    10Ton Demolition/Part Out

Whats that song???? Oh yeah, they played it at my wedding, "another one bites the dust"..... You know there is science to what he's doing, its like the price of real estate, except for Hawaii and a couple other places, the isn't any land being made, and shore erosion, (globaloney) warming and...

    problems with interstate batteries

Havn't had alot of luck with them here, but most of my trucks get light use and keeping them charged is hard, looking into solar battery maintainers. But the Interstates seem to go completely all at once, I'm back to using fresh Crown's in mine, they have a marine grade with plastic shock...

    10Ton Demolition/Part Out

THAT would be very nice, from what I understand, there were few built and even fewer survived. That one almost didn't make it before it was 'rescued'. Needs to be looked after well.

    10Ton Demolition/Part Out

Are you talking about "Jumbo"? Nobody hears much about that one any more THAT is one cool rig too. About half our club would love to own it. Three different five tons is the best I can do, a WWII CCW, 6x4, a 1950, M-62 and a 1960's M-54.. The wife MIGHT divorce me even if I sold a couple of...
