The 932a2 I had came with a block heater and 2 oilpan pad type heaters on it directly from the military. It's not in any tm but the motor pool knew it was a good idea and it had them.
Having the fuel fired heater exhaust blow onto the shroud on the oil pan is a Great way to warm the oil before start. Btw I have a spare oil pan shroud if anyone needs it. Pm me.
the right side is done from the inside of the truck. But congrats on getting it Fixed. I had many go issues with my truck the first couple years I had it.
A solargizier IS NOT A CHARGING DEVICE! It only desulfates the plates in the battery.
I use 1 solar panel per battery and I have verified with a volt meter that is does indeed put a charge on each battery even on a cloudy day.
I have the detroits in my 818 and think the world of them. They are awesome. Just trying turning around on turf. It will literally turn it into mulch, they are fantastic.
I bought a 12v solar trickle charger for each battery, they do a fantastic job of keeping them all perfectly fresh. Cheap insurance on the expensive batteries.
Maybe a locker or two would help you guys out. Just a thought, btw cool video and great use of surplus equipment keep um rolling.
i put a pair in my 818 and it made a world of difference.
You could also install a battery post clamp as normal and then melt a few tire weights and pour the lead back onto the post via the open space between the clamp and what's left of the original post.
You can turn the handle on the valve at the base of the pogo stick to regulate how much air goes to the trailer. I use this to help me from locking it up when it's unloaded.
My pump did the same thing, find all the shims and put it back together. It will work. This time drill thru the lip and safety wire it together so it can't happen again.
I once towed an 816 with my 818 that weights 26k. Getting moving was easy, stopping required skill. I never got above about 25 mph for the entire 20 mile trip. Wouldn't do that again. I had the air lines hooked up but the reason it was being towed was bc it had no brakes.
You will not be able to take a class a test in your truck. It's systems are too different than a std our truck and the person giving you the test does not have the correct criteria on it to test you. You will also be limited to auto trans only.
you have an emergency tank on your mil truck...
