It's in good shape, it hasn't turned at all, so I believe it is one of those to leave in place. I may fool with it a small amount and see if I can get a grab of it and turn it. The other 7 turned out just fine, so maybe I'll get lucky. I suppose running with seven isn't too bad in the end.
Sorry, should get a picture up this evening. Action is right, it basically rusted out at the block interface from what I can see, so when I tried to back it out, it broke there, with little to nothing to grab.
I live in VA, so apparently a SF-97 is no go. I just PM'd Jwade on this topic. I received a FL title for the HEMTT last time, but on my HEMAT trailer and the most recent HMMWV I'm not sure what will happen!
They never noted it on mine, and there's no way it was going to start without ether. I did fire it off this morning with WD40 and she ran wonderfully well. The correct plugs have been ordered off ebay, and hopefully will be here midweek.
Any one have any ideas how to remove the one that is broken?
Well it showed up today, but sadly would not drive off the trailer. It had driven on, but we couldn't get it to fire up. After talking to one of the locals in the area on here, I quickly discovered that seven of the eight glow plugs were kaput. Fortunately seven of the eight came out quite...
It could nearly happen. The cheapest M35A2 I ever bought, running and in great condition closed for a little over $400 at a GL auction back in 2008 or 2009. It was part of a FMS lot that was suddenly not going out, so they sold the entire lot in one week. It was worth far more than scrap.
This could be done. One could take a Detroit 8V92 or the even bigger 12 cylinders could easily make 1000HP and hit those torque numbers. Fitting it into a 5-ton I'm not sure, but crazier things have been done. It's spendy no doubt!
The TSC submittal date is key I think. If the EUC goes in correct the first time, with all the info, and goes to TSC right away, it moves along quickly. If there's any delays or anything not quite right, then it goes back to the bottom of the pile it looks like.
Not sure if this belongs here or in transportation, but this is my first "small" military vehicle to have shipped. Coming from Kansas to Virginia. What's a typical rate per loaded mile you all are seeing?
Thanks, I did see that one. My HEMAT trailer is down on our farm and I didn't bring the calipers with me this past weekend to measure it sadly. I would guess the overall length doesn't need to be too precise, but the diameter appears to be important!
Messed around with the M989A1 trailer. Need to find a pintle locking pin, thing is nearly impossible to back up. Makes for a long multi pivoting train though!
