A 932 with a short bed does really well off-road. Also gets in the campground gate @ Haspin without having to back up (like I have seen countless trucks do).
Block heater is the only way to go in cold climates. Easy starts and faster warm-up. Immediate warm air to the heater/defroster so there's no scraping. Get a heavy duty, high amp rated timer. No need to have the block heater on for extended periods (all night).
The windshield does not appear to be cracked. That is a good sign that the tweakage wasn't too bad. Sounds like you are at the right place to make sufficient repairs. Keep us posted by taking lots of pics.
Here is the view from the tail!
Looks like the view of the tail of both of my trucks!!!!! Thank you to Topher for driving the 1009. It's not often that we get to see our vehicles rolling down the road. Jeff, you certainly know the feeling.
That is super cool. You obviously have mad skills and it shows. Great build. I wish I could see it in person, I know the pics don't do it justice. I can only imagine.....
My 932, 1009, and 2002ford's 1009 will be rolling south in the morning. We are meeting at the Speedway station @ SR 202 and I-70 at 11:00. Grabbing a bite to eat on the way down.
Use my geared lug wrench on it and something is going to come off!!!! I hope you can get it fixed. If not, you still have Plan B.
Also, note the later start time (than in years past). And Sunday starts Daylight Savings Time for our region. Don't forget to set your clocks BACK an hour or else...
Not sure at this time. I plan on working on the 932 Saturday. Won't know until Saturday evening if I am driving it home or leaving from the warehouse early Sunday morning. I need to let Topher know also.
Welcome to Steel Soldiers. Plenty of knowledge and encouragement here to keep you going. Take lots of pictures and post them here for all of us to see.
I found a great price on fuel filters for the 939's with the 250 Cummins. They were about $15 cheaper than any other filter. Made by Hastings. Part # FF 939. Go figure, fuel filter for a 939 and that's the part #.
