NICE LOOKING TRUCK!!
BUT ONE DAY do make the time to do the Air Force Museum at Wright Patterson. They have some EXCELLENT aircraft there!! Plan on spending AT LEAST a day there! Be sure to check out the XB-70 (they only ever built 2 and this is the only one left!!) Most epensive aircraft...
YES!
:ditto: nopics :ditto:
As they say, "a picture is worth a thousand words"!
In this case a picture would have saved a thousand words....
(THAT SAID your description did help!)
"Cheers!"

PS: Post some PICS! We'd all love to see it!!
Thanks Guys!
Memphis Equip sells the hose for $26.73 & the elbow for $20.23, plus shipping.
(i also managed to get prices from them on a few other bits and pieces...)
AND assuming the hose has a 3" ID I might be able to use an M715 air cleaner hose (3" ID and 21" long).
OTHERWISE I'll be...
Yes, you should be able to title it with a Bill of Sale & Statement of Facts. Maybe a Certificate of Non-Operation covering the years it was sitting in the woods (ALTHOUGH the Statement of Facts should suffice!).
CA MIGHT require a title search, but since this is an old military vehicle I...
What sort of PRICE are you desiring?
What sort of condition are you willing to accept? ("Rust-Free" in MICHIGAN?? GOOD LUCK!!)
Have you been watching eBay & the M715 Zone website?
I see half a dozen M715s for sale evey week! Everything from "Basket Case" to "Near Perfect"! So I suspect...
I'm looking for a couple of M211 parts:
-the large dia hose that runs between the air cleaner & the carb
-the 90degree elbow for this hose at the carb
OR could someone provide the Inside Diameter & Length of this hose?
(I might be able to use one from an M715? or some other vehicle....)
(I...
THANKS to former M211 Owner (& SS Member)!!!
I did some digging via Google, then via eBay, and then finally via the SS site and I managed to identify/locate the former owner (the owner before the guy I bought it from) of my new XM211 Deuce.
I took a chance and sent him an email & a private...
Airmech,
I'm located near Statesboro (approx 1 hour west of Savannah).
I might be interested in looking at those parts trucks as my tailgate is a bit bent up & I need a few other misc pieces (shifter knob, carb to filter hose & elbow)... I'm bound to discover a few other missing bits & pieces...
Hey Guys,
THANKS for all the words of encouragement & congratulations!
I fully expected to get grief from the M35 guys cuz their seems to be a huge following for the "newer" duece models.
Please keep it up as I'm sure I'll need words of encouragement as I dig into whatever problems exist...
AND...
OK, I know that I'm gonna get grief from all the "modern" M35 Deuce owners, but I've always been more attracted to the early Deuce.
Problem has always been finding a solid, working, and mostly complete M211 that hasn't been molested, hacked up, and otherwise messed with.... AND of course I...
I guess they've never heard of "PhotoShop"....
(but again, that would be dishonest....)
ACTUALLY, Hagerty has never asked me for this on any of my cars that they insure. BUT they might for something as big as an M35....
They do ask for pictures of the vehicle though, and a VIN or...
THANKS Everyone for the tips! [thumbzup]
I checked with Hagerty & they would insure an M35A2 IF it was a '74 or earlier, & has to be garaged, for just $161/yr w standard MI plates, or just $61/yr with Historic MI plates. (I have historic plates on ALMOST ALL of my cars!)
I thought about...
<LOL>
Thanks, but that's gonna be ONE TOUGH JOB for whoever gets it!!
(I wonder if it comes with a pension....)
Our new President-elect and his cabinet-in-waiting have a VERY tough job ahead of them. I hope they are able to improve things a bit.... Things gotta get better...
"bpj911" please don't let this thread sour you on your new Deuce ownership, or this website.
Despite the ribbing you have received, and the sometimes "less than tactful" opinions that were dispensed, I'm certain that most EVERY SS member who participated in this thread would gladly pull over &...
