So boys and girls, what are these things?
Picture 1- some kind of post clamp for?
Picture 2- Loose bolts sticking through the back of the cab.
Also, anyone ever sew the soft top front "slides" back on? That's the hard plastic pieces that keep the leading edge of the soft top clamped to the...
Our cat Chance getting his "chance to explore. I think he would need a booster seat to drive it though...
This is also why you should ALWAYS "check six" (and all other o'clocks) before driving your Deuce. :!:
So... is it possible for one side's air to fail and leave one side still working?
I cracked my trailer hookup hand valves yesterday to see if what I suspected was true. My left side had no pressure at the hand valve. The right side has PLENTY of pressure.
Is there some sort of check valve I'm...
I (gasp) drilled two holes in the left steel mud flap and mounted a prefab trailer license plate holder on two standoffs. All I have to do now is find a 28VDC bulb for the holder and wire the plate light to the tail light.
Pictures if anyone's interested.;-)
1st EUC submitted to BC 4 June. Received PIF invoice 26 June.
2nd EUC submitted to BC 12 June. Received PIF invoice 26 June.
I'm quite happy it only took 1 month start to finish for my first EUC. I was bracing for the full 60 days!:|
Let's be honest now- how many of you follow the TM "before startup" checklist?
I have to say I'm guilty of an incomplete walkaround every startup so far.
I officially started using the checklist last night and will put a laminated copy in the glovebox for all future first starts.
I'd like...
So.... I found out what happens when you don't "Know Your Deuce" (KYD). The trailer hookup air valves were open.
Now I'll have to reset the air regulator.
I have to say, the folks on Steel Soldiers are GREAT!
Patient too. :-D
THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
So... basic question. Which way should the trailer air line valve in the cab point? Towards the driver (flush with the firewall) or out towards the passenger? My guess is towards the passenger. That would explain a lot.
Got confused and was looking at the modified split system for the M44A2.
'Nother dumb question- where the heck is the air regulator valve on the firewall? Inside the cab or outside in the engine compartment? I can't find it ANYWHERE. :!::?::!:
Fluid levels look good and the brake...
OFFER HAS BEEN TAKEN. Thanks Omega123!
Anyone near Huntsville, AL willing to help me lug six M105A2 trailers to my house? If so, I'll give you one of the trailers for your trouble. I didn't buy any junk so I believe you'll be happy. :-D
If the trailer's not wanted, I'll be glad to offer...
So I go to check the DOT 5 fluid level in the Cheetahmobile Deuce and all I see under the cover in the cab floorboard is this style of Master Cylinder.
The manual I have shows one that has two caps and the line with fitting.
Am I being to cautious? Should I just twist this off and all will be...
Very nice!
Don't forget to take some pictures when you get it home.
State Farm Insurance covered me for $400/ year BTW as a commercial Stake Bed truck. Go figure...
I figured they would cover me like any other recreation vehicle. They said to bring it back when we turned it into a...
Items found in the glove box:
Noise headphones
Ear Plugs
Ancient Gatoraid bottle (yuck)
Convoy loadout and route information on 8 x 11 sheets
I also found a staff meeting flip pad (or whatever you call it- big paper thingie) wadded up behind the seat.
It has a loadout box diagram for the bed...
Squawks:
The Jerry can strap was swiped.
The only gauges that are working are the RPM and the speedo. Did I forget to turn some dang switch on or something?
Has an oil drip up front on the engine somewhere. Will find it tomorrow.:hammer:
One of the horn trumpets fell off.
The horn...
The M35A2 has a license plate, insurance, and a HOME :!:
Pictures of the ensuing happiness :-D
Camden (Chocolate Lab) and BeeBee (sweet mutt o'mine) think it's great! The cats love sleeping under it already.
Now, about that late fall campout at Joe Wheeler State Park...
Welll here I sit in a puddle of sweat. The Deuce kicked my ass all the way from the depot.
Kicked it real hard.
It's also frickin' 95 degrees out with 80% humidity.
Why power steering wasn't standard on these is beyond me... I do know that I'll add the Air Assist steering now. Worth...
