Don't let grass grow under your feet. They won't throw out the mud as well, but at 95% that is a great deal. I would like them for my M35A3 4x4, but I don't have clay mud, I have sand.
For other deuce owners....the A2 uses a 1 3/8" diameter wheel cylinder all the way around. The A3 uses a 1 1/2" on the front and they are interchangeable (with a slight mod to the push arm length) to the A2 In fact, the 1 1/2 can be put on all wheel cylinders.
Use a copper line bigger than what you need coming from the compressor...it dissipates heat and could go several feet. Most don't use very much air volume, but slowing the hot air down from a large diameter will help to cool it.
Those are nice looking tires on the rear. I would keep them for...
Added pictures of the PTO and flange kit in the classified for the setup that Glenngineer has above (less pump). Here is my setup going into my M35A3....finally....it took me forever to get the small flange kit.
Ha....that proves me wrong. I had that exact pump on my PTO for my M35A3, 15 tooth spline Muncie . In fact the ad for the PTO has that exact flange kit offered for sale also. I sold several of these PTO's and always thought it was too tight. I see air shift for about $120 and would build it...
I like the 931 with the air control for trailer brakes and adding a dump bed. It's the short wheel base, same as the 929. Don't remove the trailer brake air lines.
Some dump beds I looked at were $10-12,000, so I ended up with an 817 and then 929A2. The biggest weakness for a 5 ton dump...
Have you taken the CTIS system off or stopped using it? There are so many places to leak and all tires degrade when they sit flat. That would be one good reason to have an 11.00 with a tube....they will hold air over time.
Chris alluded to the size....the 14.5 on your A3 is the same diameter...
I was referring to the size of box and likelihood of putting a lot bigger box on the 925 frame. With lots bigger box, eventually someone tries a lot bigger (weight) load. If you keep that from happening then you have a 40% or so bigger bed to do your work....which can be really handy...
I run the gate and wings to get the extra 2' of support on both the 929 and 817. I haul materials like construction debris/ I recently hauled about 30 loads of stone from a basement after I took the building down. I never weighed but was probably close to design max. The 817 is gone, but...
I got the 1" nylon tig sleeve and am stringing (4) 20 ga so cords to each side rear LED light. I had a roll of foundry duty small SO cord, so I'm using it. That is three lights plus a spare line on each side. There are 3 wires in each so cord for the high and low power of each LED 2057 +...
Don't think so. Most wax has silicone so our spot repairs won't stick right....and yes, camo is flat.
I use used synthetic motor oil and brush it some places (then wipe off). WD-40 too. But then leaves rag lint.
Wes is right about fuel. The issue of RPM is more of a top speed and getting there thing (and getting the tranny to shift better). I've been down in muck and can't get it to spool up. It's a good and bad thing. I find myself backing in low TC range with a load and have to be in low to...
BB556, I haven't completed mine, parts are at the machine shop (sidetracked). Rusty commented above on it also.... the carrier bearing.
I went with a slip joint to accommodate transfer case movement that without it, pushes and pulls on the output shaft of the transfer case. I rebuilt...
Wally....sounds like you are healing up...take care.
I guess I will need the EGT and springs as a good start point. "Turning it up" will mean one click at a time, not going for the max setting. I assume I'm on the lowest.
What thermocouple do you use for those temps? Any great deals on...
