I just finished doing my head gaskets (continental ) as well I didnt do the studs I felt they were fine.I would say know is a great time to do a block heater with the coolant out.just my2cents.

If you dont have the newer head gaskets I recomend you contact m35tom. They also come with torque steps and the order to tighten them. I am just finishing mine.

Thier is nothing easy about changing the lower hose it I did mine last winter because it was leeking I should have waited till summer you just have to keep working at it.

Chuck if I may, what i think you are saying is that the fdc has nothing to do with the ability of the motor to burn various fuels it just regulates how much of a specific fuel is alowed to be burned at a time. I hope this makes sense.

Not to get off subject but I have some 395's comming and will use my stock rims what is the best size tube I should use and do I use stock flaps. Thanks guys and this is a great thread for those of us deciding what tireews to go with.
