A3 in my area, go for it or stick with an A2

On the other hand, the A3 is a better investment if you can get it for less than $7K. They sell pretty well post-auction anywhere from $9K to $13K. My guess is simply because it's a newer truck and people believe it will be less trouble to maintain. I think they're wrong, but what do I know? I'm...

Don't know if they're tall enough to fit on the back of the Deuce. They look like trailer ladders maybe :?:

    Deuce door windows

Frank, that's as good timing as it gets. My Deuce's passenger window lacks 4 inches rolling down all the way. I have to get inside the door anyway, so I'll fix the window when im repairing the door latch.:hammer: Started 'er up again at the disposal yard. Looks like the fuel gauge, amp gauge...

Total destruction of all End-Use items (end of trucks???)

I have proof to refute the scrapping theory. This is the third time a particular M35A2 W/W has been offered at Redstone Arsenal and it's DEFINITELY a piece of junk. The problem of course is there will always be that one person who will not pass up a chance to score cheap military surplus from...

    Vegoil destroys engines?

What do you guys use to heat the extra tank? Heat tape? Calrods? Magic?;-) My guess is 28 VDC heat tape wrapped around the outside of the tank with a thermal blanket to keep the heat in. Thermocouple feedback wired into a thermostat of some sort or a thermal switch?

    Vegoil destroys engines?

Womder how many RPM I would need to selttle the WVO particulates to the bottom? I was thinking I might could rig up a centrifuge using Jerry cans (4?) and a washing machine motor. For that matter, maybe I could use the clothes washer spin cycle. I'll bet Margaret (wife) would just LOVE that!

Total destruction of all End-Use items (end of trucks???)

So what's the difference if they scrap them or if we are forced to scrap them? I don't relish the idea of hauling off a bunch of scrap. Not my idea of fun at all. I even changed my mind about scrapping my extra M105A2 trailers. Too much trouble.:hammer:

What do you use as a centrifuge?

    Vegoil destroys engines?

So let me get this straight- I can use unaltered waste vegetable oil (wvo) from, say, Chic-Fil-A as long as I heat it and filter it? All I have to do is run a seperate tank so I can shut down using diesel? What about waste motor oil? Do I need to switch tanks before shutting down :?:

We could call it "Gator Aid".

Total destruction of all End-Use items (end of trucks???)

Hmmmm So... if no one bids on them, they just sit there? Maybe that's the key- stop buying until they are convinced mutilation is unnecessary.

    Well I did it

Thank you Frank! I guess I still want to get the title in case I sell it, but at least I can license it whenever I get the EUC and bill of sale. We have a MOPAR show coming up this July. I hope I can get my Deuce before then and take it.

    Ain't that the truth!:-D

    Well I did it

Anything made before 1976 doesn't have to have a title in the state of Alabama. I wish I'd bought a Deuce made around 1976 or before, but I think mine was made in 1985. Is there a YOM located somewhere on the truck? I'll head out to start it and let it run a while this week so I can look for it...
