    Turning Up the Pump

Wes is running all over the country for himself and lots of people. I doubt he took offense. Would be nice to see a list of the "clear video's" that still have working links. About 8 of 10 when using search have dead links and no photos. Can you list updated ones you think are helpful?

    Building a Long bed bobber

For anyone that wants to build a long or short bed 4x4, there is a candidate M35A3 in VA listed in the classified here from a deceased member of SS. I read it has a rebuilt tranny goes with it....a darn good buy. Assist steering and 50/50 split brakes....perfect for a 4x4. Buy the M105 to...

    M105 axle replacement

Should....the 16.5 bolster wheels fit. Note that the mounting face is not against the drum. I'll look for a photo. Sorry, this is an M35 hub but the M105 is similar, so the drum really isn't much of an issue except a really deep back space like the little budd above.

    24 vdc hydraulic pump question

I think for now, the information on the valve has given me enough information to know that it is a 4 way 3 position valve and that the pump will push a single acting cylinder up, but in the neutral position will connect A and B back to tank and lower it. It requires a simple on-off...

    24 vdc hydraulic pump question

I have followed the number from the end of the valve to Bucher Hydraulics and pulled up the EMDV valve. It is a 4 way, three position valve. The pressure port is blocked in the center position and both A and B drain to tank. With one solenoid energized and the motor/pump running the...

    24 vdc hydraulic pump question

I have a hydraulic pump that is listed in the classified but I may be missing a label that gives me all the information I need to know about the exact functions of the valve. If anyone recognizes the pump and has more information, please help me out. It appears to be a double action, power...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

I saw two really nice ones going south on US 31 yesterday on the back of a drop deck, not that does you any good.

    tail and marker lights

Jimm, I'm going to LED on mine, not the original fixtures. I'm running individual lines back to a control box that will have flasher controls, strobes and dimmers. You might want to consider something similar. I'm using 3 wire SO cord and soldering the connections...no joints to fail...

What deuce paint do you have?

Use the search for Behr paint...and discover a whole lot of info. One problem I have encountered is using red rust inhibitive primer like Rustoleum (oil base) and then use Acrylic Latex over it. Rust forms through it. Both, when fully dry have a level of being hydroscopic and rust forms...

    PTO neutral on M51A2

I like the looks of your truck. I miss my 817...one of the last ones made. This no reverse in low is a pain with the 929. I like the body style too.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

We used to wrap that with a flat thread like material or leather straps to tighten it up. Is it leather or vinyl? As much as I like leather, it molds with sweat.

    M35A3 disc brake conversion

How about your CTIS? The A3 is bad for leaving your truck setting on flats. There are so many places to leak and seals that have to work right.

    Mep-8xx 400Hz to 60Hz conversion

If you have something that needs 400 hz....you are set to go. It might make a wrecker pony engine.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I don't know why there is no "thanks" available, but if there ever is a post that deserves it, it's yours, SCM35A2. I'm so blessed that my dad has income and is mobile (94). I hope you do well on the sale.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Emeralcove, yours looks worth repairing. I'll need about 8 sticks. My truck is a 97....with a 1957 (looks like) steering wheel that set in the sun. I have many areas of just the outer wire its molded to. I have a bunch of hardwood veneer that might make an interesting layup. I'll find...

    Mep-8xx 400Hz to 60Hz conversion

I have a couple AB freq controls (speed), 25 hp, that I have thought about using before for controlling the AC. It rectifies to a DC buss and then chops it up into the desired freq.. It's 480V however....and I have not tried such a thing...just thought about it. Been saving them for a...

    M35A3 disc brake conversion

Pay attention to the tranny slipping in forward 4th and reverse. They used poor quality seals on that clutch pack and together with locking torque converter are having issues as they age. Every one of the A3's are rebuilt and used parts from the surplus A2's that may be many years older...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I hope that is something you want to do. Nice looking truck.

    M35A3 disc brake conversion

I've read that properly functioning drum brakes on them are as good as the disks. Your A3 has a split system MC, 50/50, that a lot of duece owners would be glad to have. They did go to the 1 1/2" piston on the front of the A3 from the 1 3/8" of the A2. Since calipers require different...
