I was looking into the M820's and M934's before i setteled on my command trailer for my build... the reason i stayed away from the expanding sides, is the walls fold out to make the floors and top... that will create some interesting challanges for you.. i cant wait to see how you set it up.. -Josh
I have not been stopped... yet, but i picked up the brackets for the flaps at the at the local truck parts place, for $14.00... kinda hard to justfy not having them at that price..
lol, well if he backs out on the project, there is plenty of room at my place for a new project! but I'm sure he will love your truck, and want to compleate his... your work is outstanding!
Do you mind expanding on what your going to DC for? I'm sure there are many of us that would support you morally, even if we can not be there in person.. if it is not fourm friendly, I understand..
The allison is nice, until you are pulling 30K+LB with it (tractor trailer version) then you wish it had more gears... but running empty, it is a dream!
the differance is not the gears, but the size and weight... the tractor trailer is a class A CDL, and a class B is for a "straight truck" like a dump truck, school bus, box van or M923/M925..
once you have a CDL, dont you then have a CDL? as in, it shouldnt matter what you take the test in, as long as you have it, you can then drive anything that requires a CDL? (as long as you stay in your classes A, or B) plus if you take your test in a auto, you have a restriction on your CDL...
I want to do this same thing to my M932A1 tractor.. and stretch the frame to still be able to pull trailers... looks good! are you keeping the 6x6? or are you going to bob it? (i vote 6x6, just fyi lol)
