I tried the Eastwood kit. Of course, results vary by user. The colors came out nice due to the color tints (green and red) but the glossy shean of plated metal wasn't there. Even with the gloss clearcote that was included, the shine isn't as deep which makes the colors look dull like paint...
A friend of mine has a Blazer with ILNG markings still on it and was denied entry to one of the bases (don't recall which one) here in Indiana. Despite having the registration and insurance, they wouldn't let the truck on with the markings on it. Well, that is the story he told me.
Hey guys,
Anyone know where to find any of the drain plates for the original M151 floors? A friend of mine came across a '63 Willys that is missing them and he can't find them. He doesn't do much online stuff so I doubt he checked the usual M151 vendors. I presume that is what they are...
Like tcody, I have a few cup full of parts such as OE bolts & Douglas connector parts that I would like to have re-plated as well. I looked at the Caswell site and that is a neat system but I didn't plan on investing so much into a one-time, small quantity job. Anyone got anything else?
Rick,
Welcome aboard. It is always nice to have another Hoosier in the fold. Hope to see more of you and your future truck. Post some photos when you find one.
If you want some leads, drop in on the Indiana MVPA meeting on the 13th in Whitestown. Someone may know where to find one or where...
Greetings all,
This month the meeting will be at one of the member's garages in Whitestown, IN rather than in Carmel. Same time, 10:00 AM; Saturday, 13 September.
If you didn't get a club mailing or need directions, PM me.
See you there!

I drove and ridden in many a HMMWV and don't remember a bracket for them. There was a bracket for the fire extinguisher that attached to the base of the driver's seat but I don't remember anything for the 1st aid kit. We just shoved them under the seat or where ever they weren't in the...
Just a reminder for those interested about the IMVPA Rally and Swap Meet at The Historical Military Armor Museum, 2330 Crystal St., Anderson IN 46012. Show dates are 11-13 July; gates open daily at 0800.
Entrance price includes access to the museum. Anyone still needing info or table space...
I have an old table that lists the civilian group size as 22NF for the batteries. A lot of people replace the battery cables using welding cable. I think I used a 7 foot length from the battery to the starter on mine.
Greetings all,
On Saturday, 10 May there is a meeting of the Indiana MVPA. It will be at the Carmel American Legion (852 W Main St) at 10:00 AM.
Hope to see you there.

Dataplates Info
Any dataplates on the trailer? Usually the military sets will have several dataplates, one that tells you what manual supports the set as well as a nomenclature (like M125 or whatever) and description. With this info, you can maybe find it on the Army ETM site...
Hey, looks good. Duallies too. Any history on it like when the dually was added (military or civilian)? Are you going to do a military restoration or just a civilian upgrade?
Have you been over to G741.org and put it in the registry?
Got more photos?
Good luck with it.
DIS Codes
Yep, unless the DIS code is A, you have to have special access or clearance to download the pubs. If the code is A, anyone can download or open.
If someone hasn't already posted them in the resources section, you aren't likely to see them in anything but paper.
Congratulations. Looks better than your description in the other post. Is it all there-troops seats and all? Good price; less than what I paid for mine.
Have you had a chance to put it in the M37 registry? If not, check it out over at the G741.org site and say hi. Many of us over there...
