eagle, is that green gas can mounted behind the rear tire? Was that a stock set up or did you add? I would be too nervous that I would back into something with it or have someone hit me and boom.. Just asking not criticizing..
I clean up my overspray with a razor blade, if it is glass or you can always buy a small bottle of Goof Off, that works on the sticky stuff really well. But that stuff is strong wouldn't recommend on plastics..
Don't know just yet.. Have't taken it out on the highway after the new tires were put on. I have to go through the brake system first to make sure all is OK. Got leaks in the two front brake lines and had some issues with the brakes locking up so I want to take off the drums and inspect first...
Cool, and if I am ever planning on riding west on 84 I'll give ya a holler. I got a buddy in Newtown that I may take a visit to at some point with the Deuce... My son loves the new tires !
Congrats on your new Deuce! Good to have someone else up here in the NE.. We're only about 45 min from each other! Perhaps with some more people up here we can get a rally together in the spring!
I would have to check mine to see if the hookups look the same, it does work quite well.. I will take pics and post on this thread.. I heard you can sell that PTO, I guess it's a rare piece.. I also have that small tank under the pass seat.. Not sure if I can get to it tonight but I should be...
Shawn, my bobbed deuce was a firetruck too and has the heater on the pass side and looks sort of like yours.. If I can be of any help to ya with pics of mine let me know what to take and what to look for. Do you have that PTO drive just behind the cab as well? Mine's still there but not hooked...
Sorry, dude didn't mean to ruffle any feathers.. just thought it would be cool to have your location link to the map.. if you don't enter your location then your not on the map.. again sorry I can see how you could view it otherwise.. Didn't suggest forcing anyone to do anything with me and my...
That would be cool but it would be a heck of a drive.. only 1,397 miles.. That's more miles than my truck has on it all together! Would be fun adventure though.. Have a beer for me when you're done with the teardown..
I guess I'll figure out my brakes the same way I did learning how to plumb and run electric in my house.. take it apart figure out what's wrong and put back together.. looks like we're on the same track.. to bad NY is not closer to OK.. That would be a fun "team teardown"!
That air hissing could be coming from the wiper adjustment knob, just to the left of the steering wheel. Most likely and a common problem with our trucks is the defective front brake lines that are too sort and wind up leaking, drips on the inside of the front wheels. Also drips on the axel...
Yeah I would like to see pics too as I want to see what looks good and what does not when I take mine apart... I thought the same thing when reading the posts about how you should know how to take apart your brake system or pay someone to do so.. I know how messages can become misunderstood...
Can't wait to take her out in the snow to see how she handles.. Once I get my WMO filtration complete I will tell them 10-12 MPG but fuel only costs me about $1.00 a gallon! Ha! At least that is what I am estimating.. So then the Deuce will be more cost effective to run than my Mits Galant!:D
Here is mine so far.. and the bucket filters actually catch some water! The bucket has the bottom cut out of it and the top of the drum has a hole cut at the diameter of the bucket.. Bucket is about 1/2 inch into the barrel and hot glued in place.. Now I have the dudadiesel bucket filters from...
I bought a bunch of bucket filters from dudadiesel from 600 to 75 micron for my WMO filtration system I am setting up. What I didn't expect was for the filters to catch water droplets, I should try pouring some antifreeze through it and see if it does the same.. I figured the water would just...
It's definitely larger than 2 7/8".. ha ha.. sorry I just went by the post headline.. what do I know.. it took me an manual to find out where the master cylinder was..:?
