I have the same problem so I always park her nose down! I think the fuel settles out of the filter back to the tank. I would be interested in the proper solution!

    stencil meaning?

Here is a shot of a data plate from M915A1 which shows registration number as NPO4Y9. The MWO plate below it has the same number listed as "serial number". Same number is stenciled on fender of truck. My M1009 has a similar number stenciled on the inside of the driver's door and the glovebox...

Only the M911 has 14R24s which could be used on 10 tons. The M916-M920 use 11R24.

    M915 - what a ride!

Wow, an A/C would be nice for the summer! One manual I looked at showed the kingpin height of the M172A1 at 57.375" (I assume this means when level). After checking the trucks, I found these fifth-wheel heights M915A1 49-51" M818 53" M911 64" M916 65.75" M920 67.75" So it looks to me that...

    400 Cummins or 8.3 Cummins??

Sounds like a cool project. The stock 250 might meet your needs as-is. If you are planning to tow/haul big stuff, I would go for 400 hp.
