    Metal in Rear Axle?

Going to have to roll that axle out from under the truck. Once out, pretty easy to pull apart. If it's BER, roll a take out axle in. Rockwell axles are easily fixed, lots of parts available.

    M998 6.2 litre smells bad

Is this the first diesel powered vehicle for the OP? His nose may be the only thing out of calibration. The burning eyes comment tends to lndicate the engine is burning coolant. Check the coolant levels and monitor any usage of coolant. Old diesels smell like victory in the morning....

    925 A2 winch doesnt work

Start under the truck, at the selector valve. Are you certain the PTO is engaged? Hydraulic pump turning? Be very careful under the truck. Disconnect the selector cable from the valve, lube, clean, adjust if needed. Work selector valve manually. Have somebody with you for security.

    Well...I Finally Did It....Got My 925A2. My 1st MV! (and I'm Hooked).

The photo in my avatar was the drivers door of a M813 w/w I bought for parts. Didn't start because there were no batteries in the box, "no brake" meant that the parking brake cable was broke. Installed batteries and drove it 150 miles home. It's still a parts truck today, all its part are still...

Won a LMTV today, possible electrical issues.

Looks like the truck was "robbed" of several of it's electrical components. Behind the right side dash are the ECUs for the engine, transmission, relay banks. Hopefully the units robbed were unplugged and not cut out. It will take a little time to round up what is missing and get it started...

    MEP-831A's in Central Virginia

GL has a funny way of listing the taxes. Once you get the invoices it will be straight. I have seen this "over taxed" issue on a lot of invoice. It will be straight in the end. Wish I was close ,I'd take one off your hands. JC
