I'm a v owner but never had that issue. Does your truck have the aux grounding harness? if not you need to make/install one.
Have you used a real voltmeter to check what your getting to see if it's a gauge error or an alt issue?
they are hard to find but obviously much larger than the deuce fronts. it took me a while but I eventually found mine on ebay. found the entire set for the hood and side panels too.
I did save them for a while but have since sold all of that stuff. 750 or 850 isnt such a bad price when you consider all of what your getting. if you consider that you will be getting new brake calipers, new cables, new rod, many assorted brackets. it's not a bad deal and you will be getting...
the rod goes to the rear and goes thru a bulkhead/channel and then attaches to a cable that goes to the caliper.
there is also a spring that keeps the rod from bouncing around and vibrating. it's all above the muffler so you will need to remove it to get access to that area.

when the hmmwv's dash gets led's at the factory the lens covers are a very light shade of green. anything darker and they can't be seen. Led's aren't necessarily brighter they are just clearer.
This is exactly what I meant. the 939 and 939A1 has the 250. the A2's have the baby cummins which is already turbo'd. You should even have enough room for the jakes without any issues.
I was told by an operator of the older 936 and 936A1 wreckers that they don't have enough power(torque) to drive over a set of chocks. This is a huge problem when trying to reverse and you can't use low range.
