MKT Pics
Mark your concern is a legitimate one. But I am betting your MKT is going to be almost 100% complete. Looking forward hearing the details of the recovery.
John
Mark,
You guys are lucky to get those trailers for such good prices. Did you get one with a generator? Never saw MKTs with generators, like new at that! Post up pics when you open her up. Good luck with the recovery.

You can take a 50' extension cord and plug into the dongle of the GFI outlet on the MKT and use "house power" from an outside 110 outlet. Then plug in lights, a microwave, or a coffee maker, ect..
As long as you have a power converter and the correct MBU wiring harnesses, you are ready to...
Mark,
Pretty sure you just take the radio out of the mount, and then remove the center part. Front brackets can stay, as well as, the top rear bracket.

Vic1/RT524 Base
RedOctober,
If you want to get an RT 524(Much cheaper than Sincgars), you will need a base labeled Mounting Base, MT-1029/VRC. Just un-bolt the Sincgars Base and bolt the MT-1029 right on, uses the same mounting holes. The Antenna is labeled . The “sugar scoop and antenna...
RedOctober,
Most likely was a Sincgars set up, but you can use a Vic1 System utilizing the same basic brackets, except the base and antenna base. Google Sincgars and you'll see pics of the system. I knew of one buddy that had that radio, but they are harder to find versus the Vic1/RT 524...

Disassembled the entire front end sheet metal and brackets, and sandblasted and primed all parts. Did the same for the bumper and brackets. Pics to follow later. Stripped and painted the troop seats.

Jasonjc,
The solid poles with the pointed ends, insert into the sidewalkways. The larger end goes inside the holes, 4 on each side. The pointed end faces out and the screens or walls attach and allow air to move through the trailer. Picture of my screens set up in this manner. Hope this...
MKT's can feed up to 250 troops in the field. And if set up in pairs they can feed up to 500 or more soldiers. Burners used to be gasoline fired, but are now using the MBU(Modern Burner Unit) which is diesel fired. Much safer and more efficient. Only issue is that without the correct cabling...
WarHorse
So I picked up a nice M923A1 re-build. I am feeling pretty good, satisfied with my "new" rig. Watching TV one night and thought I wanna name this truck. What should I call the old girl? Than I see a commercial for the movie WarHorse. I said that's it! Of course why wife was like...
If you need locks re-keyed talk to Art Swain. He is the man, and he is a vendor at the MTA Sussex Show, the Aberdeen Show, and the Redball Gilbert Show.

Kenny is the best in the business, PERIOD! Have been buying OD Stuff from Ken and Kenny for years, great people, honest, and easy to make a deal with. Go to his yard and shop, the web site does not do his place justice. If you love Military Vehicles and Surplus in general, you will think you...
