So I decided to replace my steering column, that was a hoot getting it out. Then more bad news apparently the bearings in my steering gear box are shot, water intrusion over the years I'm sure.

I remember seeing a website where a fella had modified his goat with a big block v8 and super swamper tires. I think he used custom made rims though, I'll see if i can find it
Getting more of the crappy brown paint removed, I really don't want to sandblast this truck so scraping it with a razor knife, comes off pretty easy just a time consuming task. Besides the red is good paint and stuck on good will make good primer.

Making progress still, trying to get an hour or two in every day after work. Dash disassembled, I can save the speedo but will replace all the other gauges. Got my cut wiring harness all figured out now. Had to call m38inmaine for some advice and he came thru as usual.
