    GL's Responsibility to Verify Bidders?

According to their website it is Government Liquidation. No "S". -Chuck

    GL's Responsibility to Verify Bidders?

When you have something good or bad to say about GL, spell out the full name: Government Liquidation. That way your post shows up on google when anyone searches for Government Liquidation. Someone, like congressional staffers, news reporters, or DRMO, that is. -Chuck

    Deuce Problem

It seems to me that there have been some posts on this board describing that very jury rigged fix for T-Cases that fall out of gear... So, I think JT has it pegged. Figure the price of a new T-Case in your bid. -Chuck

    Insurance getting cancled need help

When I was first looking for insurance for my Maryland deuce, I tried Progressive. Their website gave me an instant binder number, and a very nice rate.... I couldn't believe it, so I called them to made sure that they knew exactly what they were insuring, and phone person said she thought it...

    Deuce Problem

I think you misunderstood. I understood him to mean that when you pulled up on the t-case shifter, it was tugging on the parking brake cable, and that was binding things up. He needs to re-route the parking brake cable. -Chuck

Lug nuts (and how to bust your own)

Do a google search on greasing lug nuts to find out why this is a very bad idea. -Chuck

    Cell Phones

My Sunday Sermon... You write nicely wreckerman, it is a shame that you don't read as well as you write. I expect you to believe that in a civilized society you are your brother's keeper. I expect you to do unto others as you would have them do unto you. I expect you to show the same mercy...

    Cell Phones

This one line in your original post: and this line in KsM715's post: should trigger a response of outrage in any reasonable person! Outside of appearing to be statements of intent to commit manslaughter, they are indications of a serious lack of common sense. Avoiding an accident is almost...

    Zero Oil Pressure

It was a medical day today, so I was unavailable until just now. Just as a note for your bonnet, the test for a servicable FDC (when it is still plumbed) is to remove it from the IP, but hang it from its hoses, and then turn on the accessory switch. That will fire up the pump in the tank, and...

    Cell Phones

Laws like last clear chance have been on the books probably since before you were born. I know that we were told about it when I took drivers ed in the early '70s. They are there to prevent miscreants from preying on other drivers in search of an insurance settlement. It's just common sense...

    Zero Oil Pressure

Not really, the army sent out a bulletin that described how to do just this very adjustment on trucks where it was necessary to bypass the FDC but there wasn't time to send the engine to a depot to have the IP completely readjusted. All he needs to do is go back the 14 nut flats, and continue...

    Zero Oil Pressure

Your reasoning is sound. The manual lists it as Clockwise as viewed from the governor side of the IP. When I wrote up the instructions way back when, I wrote to turn down the fuel. Later, I thought it would be best to give a CCW, or CW direction, but I couldn't remember which it was, so I...

M35 bed bolts... #, kind, etc????

Yes, I am certain that they are fine thread. Fine threaded fasteners are more immune to coming loose due to vibration, and they are a little stronger. They also give greater clamping force for a given wrench torque. -Chuck

    Cell Phones

Trying to get this back on topic, a number of years ago, I was driving into town on the local lanes of one of our super highways. The traffic wasn't all that heavy, but it had gotten into one of those hurry-up-and-stop modes where traffic would speed up to 45 or so, and then come to a hard stop...

    Cell Phones

A deer weighs a grand total of 150 lbs, and the difference between its speed, and your speed is pretty much your speed. An oncoming car weighs typically 2000 lbs, and the speed difference is your speed plus his speed. A crash into an oncoming car is going to be a big deal. Both drivers are...

    Cell Phones

It's called having situational awareness. As you are driving, you should be aware of what cars are in front of you, way in front of you, behind you and on each side... always. If you adjust your mirrors correctly (so that they are not looking along the side of your car) there is no blind...
