    What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

    Installed a 20mm ammo can in the cucv suburban clone in place of the stock center console. The armrest pad is a 1/2" piece of plywood with some foam wrapped in the marpat material. Also installed a extinguisher and a bullet knob on the transfer case lever.

    Did a little bit more on my cucv clone. Overlayed the instrument bezel with marpat 3m vynil, I think I'm getting pretty goon at laying this stuff out.

    painted warning lights

    Your good. The are supposed to backlights the gauges. They are actually painted steel overlays. On my first deuce I peeled them all off, they were so bright I couldn't see my gauges. Rookie mistake.

    warning lights shouldn't be painted over. You may be talking about the dash lights that light up the gauges, they come that way. You don't want them things shining in your face at night.

    Theres no fuel in the can, and won't be any. I have some water cans I'll put there when I'm done, they will have water in them. Mostly for looks. Many people have put them there before.

    Got one of the hupp Jerry can mounts I purchased from fuzzy toaster awhile back done up on the mud flap. Get the one on the other side this weekend.

    On on the drivers side is "The Old Red White and Blue"! The other side is the skull and cross bones, our local high school football team is the Pirates.

    Installed some NOS Amber side clearance lenses I got from Eric's. Also a rain flapper. Had to drill a hole and install a nut to give it a bit more counter balance to close. Looks like I need a bigger bolt for a little more weight.
