The OP asked me to post more pics of the trailer and some more info so here they are. Oh and you were wrong, the laundry trailer designation is a M532:wink:. The bed is 8ft x 12ft, it has a 3 1/2 ton capacity on and offroad, empty it weighs in at just over 3k.
If I didn't infect him with the green iron bug then I'm sure I'm helping it along, lol. We work together and every chance we get we're talking trucks. I will make sure he is at the Ga rally.
w:shock:w that thing is huge, it makes your truck look small!!! I've got a dynomax muffler that fits behind the stock heat shield and while i don't have a db meter your qualitative results are exactly how i would describe it.
Definitely gotta do something about the paint, the pics make it look bubble gum pink! As far as the windows go, guess it depends how accurate you want it to be, I think they look fine.
I mounted it just to the side of the rear landing leg on the same cross member as the landing leg, plenty strong enough to pull an empty trailer, but regardless of that, towing that way is inherently unstable as mentioned by others.
Wreckerman posted a thread about a recovery at redstone where they flipped one manually in a wallyworld p-lot. I would find it for you but the search function doesn't work with my phone.
Much much bigger, closing on the new house is tomorrow at 1600hrs, after which a thread will be started about the new LZ. Get your tissue ready to catch the drool.
The bolts that attach the front of the bed to the tongue, pull them out, there may be one or two places the wire harness needs to be un-clamped from the tongue and bed then set your parking brakes on the 101 then back up with the truck, if your not loaded to nose heavy it should dump, the first...
They have 3 notches in them which allow for some adjustment, I think you should be able to get close to a 2 in. drop. Not sure how much travel is required to release the clutch so I would be careful cutting to make shorter.
