Can anyone tell me if 5 ton parts from an early fiftys mack ,Diamomd -T or Intrenational will fit a M813 or M812?like the fenders,doors or hard top.are the axles the same?

Look's like a great find.I think what you have there is a Continental 6602 gasser.it looks complete from what i can see from your pics.check the specs for that rig ,I think you will find the exact truck listed there.

Anybody ever load a disabled 5ton on to a drop deck,at a GL site?since they do not help in loading (even though there is a large fork truck 60' away)any ideas?

I don't know dave, but have E-mailed him on a few questions on his trucks and parts.he got right back to me with an answer and I have never bought from him.in my book that is good service-buisiness.hard to find these days.I give him a thumbs up.

I was at an auction saturday.there were three trucks ,one five ton dump(poor shape, gas)$1600.one deuce dump deisel very nice except the dump box was toast$1900.one deuce complete no box$ 900 rough shape gas.all had winches.

Well after waiting two and a half weeks it is here.I am the proud new owner of an M812.this truck is even cooler than when I went to look at it!this is my first MV so I am prety geeked. I will try to post pics soon. :lol:

What is the back spacing on a five ton super single?I thought they were all the same?

How much play is acceptable in steering gear box.(M812)when the engine is running it's right there.when it is off there is there is 7-8"ofplay at the wheel.is this normal or worn out?can you adjust the worm gear to correct this?
