Not many miles so the maintenance is easy. It should be the fun part of the hobby but I have not had to do a real big repair so far. Keep up the fluids and drive it responsiblly and the maintenance is minor. My wife's modern jeep requires much more maintenance than my truck.

Excellent work and conversion. this idea certainly give more thought to getting a tractor and converting it. where did you find the bed?
thanks for sharing, Bill

Mike, I think you would need to remove the tool box and batteries at least, I have scraped my steps a little but really by going slow, don't seem to have much of an issue driving it where it can go. You have to plan your route a bit more.

I think that there are some large enough but would really drain the batteries. Look around for a PTO one as they can be found on projects trucks. I think the HMMV use an eletric one.

RE: Knock Knock again
Mike, thanks for the photos as it continues to remind me the size of these trucks and I only have a duece. How long did this take you to do and easier or harder than a gas engine?

Great looking truck and getting a runner is a plus also. Ford superduties are real nice trucks. A buddy has a F350 supercab dually that get around 18 miles pergallon with the powerstroke. Pretty amazing for a large truck..
