Got the hydraulic tank mounted. Modified deuce fuel tank hangars to fit a new tank I bought off of a local junk collector. I had to cut 4in out of the tank to make it look like it belonged there. If you look close you can see the cut and weld going length wise around the tank.

It would have to have been in reverse and under a **** of a load for it to happen like that. I doubt the motor is capable of enough power to do that.
The cover is not flat originaly, it has a detent for the shaft end.
Upon looking at it further, I definatly think the hook grabed it.

It has to do with the capacitor starter on the single phase motor. There is a cetrifugal switch in the it that opens when the motor reaches speed. When you bogg a single phase motor the switch will chatter and cause irattic pulses through the windings therefor loosing power.

The crane truck is getting a fifth wheel. The crane by its self weighs in at around 4,500 lbs so It wouldnt be able to haul much in a bed.
