I've found that when it comes to dealing with diesel alge, there is no one time adding brand "X" product and being done with it. It is an on-going process to clear it up. Adding alge cleaner or anti-alge is a start. I've used the mixing gas with diesel with some success. Too much will hurt...
I would think it would work GREAT... right up until you tried to turn a sharp corner on hard surface and the scrub of the rear tandem axles would rip one of the treads apart.
Sitting lonely covered in snow
Went for a walk and took this lonely shot of Big Green sitting covered in snow. She looks like a lonely pet wanting to go with me...
I can definitely relate to the gear jamming. I choose My M813a1 for that reason. Wish I could have a few more gears to shift through! Nice to see You're still putting your truck to work. :-)
I'm not trying to hi-jack the tread here, but tobyS said something that got me worried here and I'd like to ask a quick question. toby S stated:
Is this true of the older winch trucks too? I have a 71 M813a1. I just purchased a complete winch kit off a parts truck in hopes of making mine a...
If the two BIG batteries are in series and the two little batteries are in series and the two separate groups are in buddy pairs... it will work, BUT the two different pairs will have different capacities and will charge differently. You want ALL batteries in pairs and especially in series to be...
Apologies....Not enough Caffeine in blood yet this morning 6.72/1 and 4.9/1.
I have seen other ratios...but have been unable to find the link to the supplier this morning. Again, I'll blame the low caffeine!
Edit: Darnit.... I was thinking about the gear sets I found for my M813 5 ton.... NOT...
Change out the NDT's with actual Commercial truck tires and your mileage and handling will go up more. Get a set of lock out hubs and you'll see even another mile or two per gallon out of her! If I get a chance at another deuce, I'll swap out the gears from 6.77/1 to 5/1. Will lose a little...
I let my plates expire after Iola as I hadn't planned on going anywhere for awhile. But if I can get my Historic Mil plates by there I'll be happy to join the group for the weekend!
NICE crane crewcab454! I wish I had a bit more reach. But I did get this crane to load/unload tires. What's the size of your plates? Got any close up pics of the install yet?
Sure thing. Just ran out and took these.
4th pic is how it sits when the cover is on and the crane lays on its side. I think I need a cover to keep water out of it.
Oh yea.... weight. I found a 500lb crane for less, but the 16x21's I had picked up earlier were 500 ea. and I didnt want to max out my crane just lifting my spare. So I opted for the 2000lb crane shipped to the door for less than $500. I had the 12x18x 3/4" plate laying around. That helps spread...
RE: TobyS, What is the model number on those big batteries you got from O'Reilly? I have an O'Reilly right here in town and could use a lil more UMPH in the cold!
Ha. Cool? Maybe.... and mines just an old rusted POS. Amazing how much these big tires make a difference in how people look at it. It hardly got looked at last year. I try to imagine how much more cooler it would be if I had the money to put into her as some do. She needs lots of body work and...
