Here's my contribution. I painted my M35 back right before the 4th of July. I used the codes provided here on this thread for the black and brown in the three color camo scheme, and I matched the green to a CARC'd fire extinguisher bracket. I used the exterior ultra flat Valspar Duramax paint...
Hey guys,
I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction in getting a top over my 923 before this fall/winter. It doesn't have any of the hardware for a soft top and Ive had no luck finding the hardware or a hard top. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I usually monitor mine pretty closely during and after extended driving sessions. In my personal experience, I have always went by feel. If they're hot enough that you cant hold your hand to them, then something is wrong. When I rebuilt my axles and brake system I just used the info in the Tm's...
That's a good looking setup. I wish I had the option to do something like that but the previous owner of my 1009 decided he didn't need a pintle hitch and just removed it and welded a receiver tube in its place.
Dang! I wish I could make it. That looks like a lot of fun. It would be hard to do from 7000 miles away though. Oh well, maybe next year..... The 923 should be ready by then hopefully.
I usually cruise at around 50-55. It seems the truck and I are most comfortable at that speed. I just took mine on a 350 mile multiple GL location recovery run in the middle of one of the worst Oklahoma summers we've had in a while. If you keep your foot out of it you will get decent mileage...
Congrats on the new rig. I also had a starter relay stick before on a previous 1009. My heart skipped a few beats before I could get the battery cables disconnected.
Thanks for the offer, but I just got off the phone with a gentleman who's going to sell me a hard top. Im just waiting for a shipping quote. Thanks to everyone for all the info though, its what makes this website so great.
Thanks a lot, Those pics really give me an idea as to whats all required. I think I will take your advice and start with a pre-existing kit for a deuce or 800 series.
Hey guys,
I just recently picked up a M923 at auction. The thing is that it doesn't have a top or bows. I was just wondering if one could fabricate the soft top bows or would one be better off trying to find a set? I know that the M939 series tops wider than the Deuce tops and both the soft top...
The little wheel on the right side of my regulator jumped out of the channel and produced the symptoms you describe. I just took the cover plate off of the door, pulled the window out half way, put the little wheel back in the channel, and bent the openings on each end of the channel in a...
Ladies and Gentlemen,
Pending the outcome of an auction. Is there anyone in Oklahoma that would be kind enough to let be borrow, or sell me a tow bar for a deuce. I would need it somewhere in the time frame of July 10-11. If it comes down to borrowing one, I would gladly leave a deposit to...
