I wouldn't chance it. I use a 1 inch impact to assemble all of the wheels I have dealt with. Some of them leaked even with an o ring.
I would put an o ring in just to be sure. Although I don't find mounting 395s or 14.00s to be as big of a deal as most, I still don't like doing it twice.
If it's a 2 piece bolt together wheel then it should require an o ring. I guess it's possible that it doesn't require one but I don't see how else the 2 halves would seal together.
I forget the brand but there's this mucus like tire mounting slime I used. You could fill gaps between the tire and rim and it would keep air from escaping from the tire while seating the bead.
No you do not need beadlocks.
The farm tractor version of the ldt came with a roosamaster pump. I don't believe that would be an upgrade. Though roosamasters are cheap compared to the ambac psb6a.
With a a3 wheels my 395s do not rub at all. I have not flexed the axles enough to see if they hit the bed or front fenders at full articulation but having the correct offset makes a big difference.
Building a lift for a 6x6 truck that will maintain a decent amount of suspension articulation would be an interesting feat.
I guess you could lift the rear tandems by seperating the center trunion from the chassis and adding some kind of lift block there. Then the front could be lifted like...
5 ton axles have nothing to do with lifting a deuce.
What you are asking about has been done. Matter of fact the truck I'm thinking of had 16.00 tires on it in 6x6 form. It was not an easy feat. I'm not sure what all was involved but I do remember custom lengthed dogbones.
The ONLY oil additives I use are rev x and hot shots secret. Even then it is specifically in my 6.0 powerstroke. They have injectors fired by a high pressure oil pump and very prone to stiction. Beyond that specific circumstance I avoid any and all oil additives. Especially lucas oil snot...
If both tires spin the same direction when you spin one by hand I would say the spider gears locked up somehow. The reason the steering sucks is the outside tire in a turn wants to spin faster than the inside tire. So if each tire is locked together, such as a locked diff, it only wants to...
Yes but if I build a tool I don't have to mess with anything. And it satisfies my urge to build another custom tool to later forget why I built it.
I seriously have a drawer full of custom made tools and I can't remember what half of them are for.
