How to top off brake fluid

Hopefully you are just going around the block. The deuces have a single circuit brake system. When that leaky wheel cylinder goes out, the 13,000 pound truck you are driving will have no brakes. You should fix it first. For your safety and even more for the safety of those around you.

Any turbo 400 experts around here?

Get the fluid level correct and if you still have a problem you may have an issue with the check balls. Also did you put a new filter on it. If you reused the old one all that new fluid may have loosened up old crud and clogged the filter. I have seen that happen.

Sounds like a good place. I personally would like to get it for 4000-4500. But you probably will have to go to 5k. It doesnt sound like he will have any trouble selling it to someone else so he may not come down much. Good luck and keep us posted.

Both are turboed. The difference is about 60 hp and some torque. Before you drive it home do a complete PMCS on the truck. Check everything especially the brakes. Check the fluid level, Check for any leaks in the lines, airpack, and look at the backside of the wheels to see if there is any fluid...

    Clanking Turbo

You may be burning some oil but it would be a good idea to hook up a mechanical gauge to check your pressure. The electric ones a notoriously inaccurate. As for the turbo, you can remove the inlet hose and exhaust and check for play in the shaft. Also look for rub marks on the housing.

The young bucks like you are the future of our hobby. Dont get discouraged and soldier on. I honestly think mistakes and screwups are the only way I learn and retain anything. I think in the end you would be better off finding a good used unit. But you need to think about why this happened to...

I think 500-600 is a fair price. Higher than that and I would keep looking.
