I think the easiest, and least risky, path would be to replace with 2 new batteries big enough to crank it over... series 31 should do it. Just make sure that you figure out a way to hold the batteries in down.
As a data point, I had a similar issue on two different trucks. Both times, I...
Haspin Wish List
Here is my wish list... this is mostly heavy stuff that I have found sources for but don't want to pay the extreme shipping costs or risk damage in shipping if I can find locally.
1) Camo Netting System, Woodland (looking for like-new if available – both hexagon and diamond...
I may be interested in 2 T-shirts if we can get them in military brown or tan... 1-Large and 1 - Medium. (I have enough green t-shirts)
I haven't seen a parts thread either. I have a wish list I would like to publish...
I've been working on a few projects:
1) Installed spare tire on my latest M923A2. This was good practice using the davit boom and chain fall hoist. The torque multiplying wrench that I bought on ebay worked perfectly. I highly recommend as a labor saving device... I can't believe these tools...
Here is an example of the pictures I submitted. I printed them out just as you see here and gave them the 2 sheets of paper. No need for actual photo paper or anything. Just take pictures of front, back, and side. Good to Go!
I had a good chuckle today... I stopped into the Greensburg BMV this afternoon about 5:30 to renew one of mine and they said that you were there. I think they are good and experienced with the MV process now... I was in and out in 10 minutes or less... They know why I am there as soon as I walk...
....beware of incoming flak due to the topic....
You should check Alabama code yourself but I found this on the interweb for Alabama...also, never trust your BMV to know the law and do your own research

So I received my torque multiplier wrench this week and tried it out yesterday. I didn't have time to change the tire but I did want to see if I could break the lug nut loose with this new toy.
Here is a quick review... I may submit a more detailed review once I change the tire with it...
I installed new O-rings in the fuel selector valve on the M931A2... now I just need to let it set for 2 weeks to see if it loses it's prime like before. I also installed new wiper blades and cleaned the windows. I'm now glad I didn't relegate the M931A2 to a parts truck. I drove it around...
Thanks for your input everyone... I've been checking out all my options... I was even at my local Rural King over the weekend and they had a nice 1" air impact wrench for $160 that I almost bought...
I'll probably just order one of those Chinese torque multiplier wrenches for $55 shipped...
If you can check the fit on the rear of the M923A2 that would be great.... I'm looking at a unit with a 1:58 gear ratio with 4800 N-m (3540 Ft-lb) max output - I'm guessing that should do it. The main body looks like it is 3.0" - 3.5" in diameter which should fit OK.

Thanks for the feedback...have you used these on the rear wheels of a M939A2 truck? Without having one to try, it looks like it would be a close fit to the hub of one of these truck and may even cant the tool sideways in use... I just wanted to get first hand account on one of these before...
I'm now looking a buying a torque multiplying wrench but it looks like a tight fit to use one of these on the rear tires of a M923A2. I've read that these have been used on 2 1/2 tons and 5 tons but I haven't seen M939A2s. Has anyone used these on a M939A2 series truck and can you recommend a...
I made videos near the inlet and exhaust. See files below. Any opinions on these? I can somewhat hear the noise in the exhaust but it is more pronounced on the inlet side. If it weren't for hearing the noise on the inlet side I would say everything else sounds normal.
I don't see...
Thanks for the quick feedback guys. I'll put the air compressor on the list of things to check out. Does a compressor problem still make the puh, puh, puh sound? I don't know if I can upload it here but I'll take a video today and try to get the sound recorded.
I do think this truck has...
Uh Oh.... I think I may have a bent push rod or valve on a M923A2 with 6CTA8.3 engine. I was checking out my latest purchase yesterday and noticed a strange noise coming out of the intake tube. I had actually noticed it during the recovery a couple of weeks ago but didn't have time to deal...
