Yes the model 14 is the closest one to the actual military light, however it is still a 12 volt light......the thing that I am not 100% sure about is if the "newer" model 14 has the same gear reduction system under the main plate....the military ones have a series of gears, most of the 12 volt...
Post up a pic of the gears(light) might help....you might be able to find another one that is damaged and take out the gears you need.....I know the original military lights are pricey if you can find them....I've been looking for another one myself and don't want to pay the money some are...
Actually the deuce has 3 filters......and yes it will run on almost anything, however if you are not filtering the stuff BEFORE you put it in the tank than the trucks filters have to do that for you........depending on how dirty the non diesel stuff is the filters will plug real fast(the reason...
The words "crap" and "crud" stick in my head......did you filter ALL fluids you put in the tank? And what exactly is this "crap" and "crud" you speak of.....I run almost anything and have never had a problem, unless something "dirty" got in there, it could have plugged up your fuel filters in a...
The "Original" gasser had 2 buckets, one like in the photos, and then the main.....a regular a2 multi only has one bucket and the back it larger. Now depending on the light you get you may find out as you did(and the ones I put in) that you don't have to do anything, however if you get the ones...
Got home....son in law had a great time and is already planning for next year....he is infected with the green disease....
Had a great time and as always great to talk to everyone face to face....Even if I had to take some of your money....
That's right, I forgot all about the motor.......that would be great, I think I smoked this other one I put on......was going to start looking for one after Haspin. The most important relay I need is for the exciter wire on the 12volt alternator.....after that anything else would just be...
Too much oil to just transfer to one drum, I would have to bring a couple of drums(space it getting too tight) cause then I have to pack them and the tote back up for the ride home......
100 gallons, the thing will weight right at 700lbs for the oil and then the tote, maybe 50......should be able to slide it in......originally I was hoping to just off load you on the ground and then when I pack up put it back on my truck, I'll just have to strap it in real good so it doesn't...
OH you couldn't drag that thought out of mind........Can't wait for the oil.......just have to figure out how we are moving it into my truck now that xtsix won't be there with his craneaua
Lots of threads about this very thing, just check out some of them at the bottom of the page.
Short answer though is: gonna want to heat it, definitely going to have to beat it, and might even what to soak it with some penetrating fluid.....hope that all makes sense.
