is there any particular wire I should be using for this? I've got a bunch of 12/2 romex I was figuring on using, but thinking better of it after discussing NEMA codes in the other thread.
Going to go with individual feeds and ground, instead of the UF. I think it should be easier to install.

listed as approved for wet locations.
maybe I have the terminology wrong, it is 3x6awg conductors and 1x8awg ground

BTW, I just discovered what these panels were used on.

I saw those after a little more digging. Have 3 on order. Still planning to run the breaker box, with individual breakers for each outlet, and will replace the 30amp outlets in two of the boxes with a 20 and 50, so I've got most of the common plug ends covered.
I'm looking at building a breakout box to mount on my trailer. Currently planning to use a 24 circuit load center with 10 of the slots feeding 20 amp 120v receptacles, and additional slots feeding a 50amp 240v outlet and a 30amp 240v twist lock. That should pretty well cover all of connection...
Just joined. I've learned more on here already than the cost of the membership, though I am really concerned about it. Kinda like a discount pack of cigarettes, get em hooked cheap, then WHAM, soon there will be HMMVs and M35s sucking at the savings account. I fear that SS is a gateway to a...
got these home saturday. Got them unload yesterday. They are in good shape, 4 new walmart batteries, crank right up with good oil pressure, appear to generate power. I haven't put a load on them yet, but they respond as expected on the gauges.
I also picked up a 50 gallon fuel tank, new take...
I was wrongly thinking that if switching a single leg of the 220, it would only see half of the load, i.e. half of the amps.
Any reason I should go with DPST instead of SPST? There is zero chance of me working on this when powered.
Thoughts on proposed load fixture using water heater elements?
This will only switch off one leg of the 240v circuit, using 10amp SPST Toggle Switches. The elements will be mounted into 1" pipe using Ts in series. The water will be provided by my pool cleaner booster pump, though it could be...
