Devin,
Not only yeah but heck yeah! People think I have lost my marbles here as well. I loved driving it down our main street amidst all the Porches and Mercedes and watch thier faces. Classic!
Nice installation on the muffler. I see you opted for the K&N type air cleaner inside the engine...
Back at ya Red Devils Dude -
That rainbow is not clear enough to make a decal.........but!!! It is very easy for me to re-create that artwork. [^] [^]
Shoot me a PM and we can discuss how many would you like at what size off the forum to save space.
If this takes off I'll start a new...
Hi Devin,
I have a Nikon Digital also. If you have XP on the computer and a USB connection to the camera the computer would see the camera as another hard drive in Windows Explorer. You could move the pictuers around or copy them to another folder if you were so inclined.
At any rate, we'll...
After Army's great description of the truck numbers I did a Google search of the 980th battalion.
Put this in the search criteria: Army 980th Battalion Insignia
Select the top selection -980th Quartermaster Battalion Insignia Page
(I tried to put the link in here but it goes to some foriegn...
Army S-4 and Opie,
You both are awesome!!! I thank you both for all the info.
I have cut and pastedboth postings to a Word Document, printed, and saved it in the folder with all the paperwork pertaining to my Duece.
I now have fuel for the fire when it comes to describing my vehicle to people...
Is there somewhere we can find what other numbers mean?
My Duece has 115ASG/980BN on the left and HQ14 on the right.
The "HQ" is obscured by a yellow sticker put there by GL.
Pictured below
Thanks for any information
Hey DR,
What is that Round Red Thingamahoochie next to the window washer bottle in picture #DSC00412.JPG in your original post?
Is it a fire putter-outer?
Junk yards!! Gimme a screwdriver and a hammer and I can spend all day in there. I'll start checking them out.
Hey Trango,
So we have to be careful of the back pressure we create with the engine brake?
So now that brings up a stupid question..................
I assume that it goes behind the...
Excellant question JimR. I'm glad you posted it. I was wondering that myself.
Hi Dieselsmoke. I made it by that Geweke truck show (looked to be mostly trucks from the dealership used car lot and only 2-3 vendors) on Memmorial Day but I did not find you. Asked a few of the people there but only...
Thanks Westech,
I wanted to make sure that I wasn't missing a frequently scheduled maintenence item. I'm still pouring over the CD of Tech Manuals that rdixie kindly sent me, (hats off again), and am pretty overwhelmed by it all so far. I just finished finals and I am back in school already -...

<snip> That's why one of the first things we tell people about here is the 1/8" pipe plug on the back of the airpack that always needs some lube shot in there.
Is this a good practice to get into?
How often should this be done?
How much/what type of lube?
Thanks for any more...
When removing old truck lettering (enamel) for customers I use Easy Off Oven Cleaner. NSN# - Original. (Lemon flavor is for jet boats.)
I mask off the area to be removed and then spray full strength until fully saturated. If removing a small area, spray into a 3oz Dixie cup and then use a...
Maybe even a model willing to pose............................
Yeah DR, we got some real lookers here but not much to talk to. Kinda brain dead or the attitude from, well you probably know..............
This is not a big road trip like some of you have written.
I just couldn't stand it any longer, road fever has been festering inside after reading all your posts of your road trips in the Duece.
I have been looking at my newly acquired Duece in the front driveway for 2 weeks and today I finally...
Hey Opie,
I am in the sign business and probably have font close to that in my 'puter -(1200 of them).
If you are still looking for it let me know and I'll run through them when work slows down a bit. Memmorial weekend and every boat in the world needs registration numbers all of a sudden.
