here,s an unusual one-
2003-
built in switzerland for the british army.i believe to hump a generator.
MESA TRAILER CORP.
stowable drawbar , walking beam axle , 17.5,s +spare , air brakes on palm couplings , weight -2.4 t-gtw-5.2t. manual [for now] hydraulic tail lift. it came with a...
you need a M992.
there again so do i.
if you do choose a venerable deuce, and it all goes wrong drop the rockwells off on my farm as you pass overhead-if you get time of course;-)
the good thing about using a military vehicle to pursue your interests is-pretty soon you have enough vehicles...
not at the moment-but seem to be buying all the M880,S that no-one wants:grin:
the cummins is next to the 426 HEMI,and the 6v-71-turbo detroit,s as greatest ever car/truck engines.
get out more?-not in this weather.
here,s a picture of one of my m880,s-this was my spares truck-cab now sat on a unifrog/sumb chassis-getting hummin cummins power.aua
my first MILVEH was a dodge M890-that was 18 years ago-still got it-MOPAR OR NO CAR.
Thats a good trip, only a dodge could fix it,s own exhaust system back together without getting out the cab.those old bench seats are back killer on longer trips.
i need to find another cab for my 884.
i cannot stand by and see a dodge insulted with a' french' small block-KEEP IT MOPAR!-
here,s a deal-hire a van,or a small car, drive to london in england,i will swap your 'french 'small block for the real thing-this way you leave with one v8,you come home with 1 v8=no tax-i have a few 318,s...
good engines when fed and watered properly,we had one in an abbott SPG -it ran on heating oil happily for years, one guy used to run his on contam-diesel/petrol mix available free from recovery firms, this k60 was a bit more tempremental, but still suffered no mech failures in the 6 years i was...
no worries, good to hear that chugging cold ones is still the best use-funnily enough i was looking through my old instructors books, and the most used wiring diagram was for the hot water vessel-gotta have tea as well you know!
well, cold beer is mostly what these babies are made for these days-i dont smoke cigars, but have been known to smoke the odd tire...
the latest info i can find on these beerwagons is an update to the instructors manual, posted to unit 1975-
like i said,im more than happy to answer or look up...
you have a DuKW ? -i have had such good fun swimming accross europe in various amphibious MV,s!
amphibious MV,S are hard to beat for fun.
good luck with the MK-let us know how it goes:-)
hello from england-these trucks are good because they are tough-there are better off road machines, and almost everything is faster, but you really need to try hard to break them, they come from a long line,'squady proof':)
having dealt with david crouch for over 15 years,i can say there is no-one...
you,d most likely get better responce in the 'hot rod deuce' forum below?
if not these guys do a lot with power-
www.dieselbombers.com
if your looking at big diesel for a hot rod,im guessing power and torque is the primary need?
those are good numbers-
we build a lot of motorcycle...
not in a duece but military in the snow-this was me last year with 2 swedish chics-you can hear em bellowing in the background-we were in the pub most of the night!
welcome, looks like your in the right part of the world to get full fun from your duece.
the ladies are happy to know that we,re 'investing' both historicaly and financialy....:jumpin:
but then it,s "why do you need another one ? "
plenty of valid points and strong opinions, but for me all washed by the wayside by this superb looking truck-
definately the star of the thread- and keep the pictures coming-
i especially like the 'off road test lab' pic.
second all of the above, one is never enough-i get by around herself by saying 'it,s an investment'-both historicaly and financialy-hmmmmm
enjoy the green machines
